"Well don't be shy Ollie, take my hand" Theodore grinned at the slightly flustered girl who stood on the top step of his carriage.

"I am not shy theodore" Odessa sassed back, but taking his hand anyway.
"Sure you aren't princess" He smirked.

Odessa's head turned her head too the boy hurriedly once she heard his words.
"Princess, did you just call me princess?" She question quietly.

"Whatever do you mean Ollie? I called you pretty" Theodore smirked, leading the girl into the ball.

"I don't trust a word you say Teddy" Odessa laughed rolling her eyes slightly.

"Yet you still follow me into a house you've never so much as seen before" Theodore said.
"Well I know there's a ball happening inside, and I know the obnoxious boy in my arm is leading me to it" Odessa said back letting go of his arm and walking ahead of him.

"I am not obnoxious!" Theodore yelled rushing after the girl.

Odessa had never danced so much before.
She swore to herself she would never step onto a dance floor again.

Theodore on the other hand had found himself rather entertained with her tiredness, and had brought her up for another dance.

"Teddy I can not go again, please do not make me" She sighed dramatically falling limp in his arms.

"Your making quite the scene Ollie, one more dance will not hurt you anymore than it already has" he remarked.

"One more, then that is it. I will never—and I mean never ever dance again" She said poking her finger into his chest.

"Yes, yes whatever you say Ollie" Theodore rolled his eyes with a smile before taking her hand and stepping onto the hard wood floor.

Taking her hand and placing it on his shoulder, he smiled down at her.
"Just one more, then I'll take you away too see the stars. How does that sound?" He perked a brow.

"Amazing" Odessa sighed awaiting the music to start.

"Are you happy now?" Odesa's dramatically said lying on the grass.
Theodore lying beside her.

"the real question is, are you happy?" Theodore said turning his head to look at her.
Theodore thought she was the prettiest woman he had ever seen. He couldn't fathom the idea that nobody else had tried to court such a—such a enticing girl.

"The happiest I think I've ever been" she said eyes shutting slowly.
"Then I'm happy aswell" he added.

"You know Theodore, you might just be my favorite person in London" Odessa opened her eyes, turning to take in the boys dark silhouette.

"Oh really? But I thought I was obnoxious?" Theodore smirked.
"I never said you weren't" Odessa said pointedly.

"Essie, who is Lorenzo?" Odessa whispered down to the women.
Odessa's fingers looped through Esmes hair slowly.

"He was—he was my first love. Well my only love. How do you know about him?" Esmes face dropped at the thought of the man she once loved.

"I found the letters he wrote to you, I shouldn't have read them, I know that—it's just I wanted to know why someone other than uncle Thomason had written to you" Odessa began.

"It's alright, I loved Thomas, as a friend. We were forced into a marriage after Lorenzo left" Esme started.

"You see, Lorenzo was my theodore—shh do not interrupt me. Lorenzo was my first everything, my first love, my first kiss, my first well you know. We were Inlove—behind closed doors ofcourse. Lorenzo would have never been able to marry me, I wasn't good enough, atleast that's what his parents said. A few months after we started to sneak around he broke off our secret meetings. Told me he wouldn't be able to see me anymore— at first I didn't understand why, but then I think I relized what was happening, his parents were forcing him to marry a girl whom he did not want to marry."
Esme whispered tears stringing form her eyes.

"I loved him, more than everything and anything in the world. He was mine. I was his. Until I wasn't. After he got married, mother thought it was best I find a suitor—and quick.
And so Thomas and I agreed to marry, we had been friends all through grade school and he knew how heartbroken I was. He was my best friend, not my lover—though I wish he was. Maybe then it would be easier to love again" Esme finshed, wiping her reddened eyes.

"I'm sorry esme, I shouldn't have pried" Odessa said wiping Esmes fallen tears.
"Don't be sorry my love, you were curious, I do not blame you. It feels good to talk about him" Esme laughed sadly, pushing her body off the chair slowly.

"How about you round up the boys, and the twins and we all head into town for some pastrys?" Esme said kissing her nieces cheek.

"Alright I'll have everyone wait in the carriage, take your time" Odessa smiled sadly, walking out of the pale room.

Once Esme was sure Odessa was gone she treaded over to her vanity, pulling a drawer open and pulling out a silver necklace.

"I miss you Enzo" She whispered to the shadows.
