________April 5th, 1806Odessa hated being alone. Its funny to think the girl whose biggest fear was to be alone refused to get married.
It's not that Odessa didn't want to—no that was not at all the reason. Odessa didn't want to continue her family lines burden.
She would not leave the burden of her own on her husband and kids. She couldn't. She wouldn't.
Odessa believed her mind to be a treacherous place seen only between heaven and hell.
At certain points Odessa couldn't control her mind— she would blank—she would change.
Her emotions would heighten, she would see things that were not there, she would cry out to things that could not answer, she would call out to those whom never existed.
She was perceived by her doctors and most people as a manic girl with an ugly personality.
Including her father.Odessa's father had known the suitors of Paris would never court his eldest daughter so he'd sent all five of his children to London, England to stay with there aunt— Esme Lauren, where they were to attend formal balls and teas too find their future relations.
Which brings us to the carriage the five children stood outside on there way to London, England.
"Charlie, darling I know you don't like horses but he is only trying to bring us to town please let the horse be and stop trying to fight it." Odessa said holding back a smile.
"Sister if Charlie wishes to duel the horse, please do let him— really please do, I have five pounds on the horses triumph" Owen smiled sweetly down to his younger sister.
"Alright everyone back in the carriage, we will arrive in a mere hour" cinna giggled pushing her older siblings legs to the carriage.
"Who made you boss little one? I think we will have to duel for that title cinny winny" Odessa said spinning the small girl and placing her above her hip.
"Oh yeah? Duel me then Ollie" cinna giggled pinching the older girls cheek as they sat in the silked gray seats.
Odessa smiled placing the young blonde on her own seat. "Ollie? can you read me one of those fancy worded books you have?" a sleepy voice cooed from beside the raven haired girl.
"Do you mean poetry? Imogen when will you learn sweetheart" Odessa pushed the other blond girls hair behind her ear.
"Can you pretty please read me your poetry sissy?" Imogen giggled placing her head on her sisters arm.
"Please do Ollie" Charlie called from beside Owen.
"Yes I would quite like to hear that one by— what was it—Shakespeare!" Owen said."Well alright but I don't want to hear any interruptions" Odessa laughed opening a black
Hard-covered book."I hope your future husband loves poetry as much as you do Ollie" cinna sweetly said, staring up lovingly at her sister.
The carriage went silent waiting for the girls reply.
"As do I cinny, as do I" Odessa sighed beginning to read the paged words.Owen looked knowingly to his younger sister, he hoped she'd realize she was not a burden. In fact she was the opposite.
Charlie was thinking the exact same thing as Owen but more. He understood why his sister was scared, he'd seen one of her episodes beforehand, but only a mere few seconds of it. He was scared too, but not for the same reason. He was scared she would be alone. He could not fathom the idea of the sweetest girl forcing herself away knowing it was her biggest fear.
