"Sti, what're we doing out here? We haven't even finished the translations.", Syd grumbled. "Syd's right, we aren't gonna find it.", Mike piped up. Stiles turned and glared at them. "We're not looking for the weapon. We're looking for the nemeton. It'll give us a magical boost when we want to use the location spell.", Stiles said. "What a great idea, alpha.", Elena smiled as she clung to him, turning to briefly glare at Syd and Mike. "You're such a suck up.", Mike huffed. Elena just shrugged and smirked in response.

After a little while of walking, the Mercury pack came across the nemeton. "Alright! Let's bond our magic to this death star tree.", Stiles clapped his hands eagerly. Sabrina, Syd, Stiles, Merlin, and Mike all joined hands around the stump. Their collective magics and sparks vibrated with inside of them and they each emitted a soft glow. Stiles' glow was red, Syd's was a forest green, Sabrina's was blue like hellfire, Merlin's was gold, and Mike's was a white glow. Each had their eyes closed and focused on the nemeton's energy and magic. The tree stump started to glow a soft greenish-brownish and the glows faded into one another, eventually mixing into a black glow. The black glow surrounded all of them until they all opened their eyes and the stump quickly grew into a large tree. The tree cemented its roots into the ground and the pack symbol was engraved into it's trunk, right next to the nemeton symbol.

Each pack member came forward and placed a plan onto the tree, letting it familiarize itself with the whole pack. Then, they all backed away and gazed at the great tree for a moment.

"I never thought I'd see this thing fully grown. Thought it'd be a stump forever.", Stiles said.

Snap

The pack whipped around at the sound of a twig breaking and Stiles pulled his hood up in a flash.

"There's nothing here...", Elena said. Suddenly a low, guttural growl sounded out from behind them. "You sure about that?", Zuku asked.

A huge beast stepped out from the tree line, staring straight at them with glowing eyes and claws extended in a not-so-friendly greeting. "Guys, I think maybe the weapon has a guard dog.", Ian said. "Really? What makes you think that? Is it the eight foot tall MONSTER IN FRONT OF US?!", Stiles yelled sarcastically. "Run!", Richie yelped.

The pack tore through the forest at lightning speed, the magic-users throwing trees down and dirt up to keep the beast at a safe distance. Stiles led the pack back towards the main road, where their cars were parked. "What is that thing?!", Shouyou cried out. "It looks almost like a golem!", Sabrina yelled. "Oh of course! I hate golems.", Ian sighed. "If it's a golem than it's going to keep coming after us as long as we're looking for the weapon. We have to throw it off our trail.", Stiles ordered. "On it!", Mike hollered.

Instantly, Mike was throwing up illusion magic left and right, confusing the golem and allowing the pack to make it to their cars. They piled into the vehicles and sped off.

The McCall-Hale pack filtered out of the loft, ready to search for the nemeton when they saw the Mercury Pack's cars speeding into the shared parking lot and skidding to a halt. The Mercury Pack stepped out of their cars and most of them seemed pretty out of breath. "I HATE GOLEMS!", Ian yelled through gasping breaths.

"Golems?", Scott muttered. The pack watched the newcomers catch their breath and comfort each other for a bit before one of the newcomers finally noticed. Well, their alpha had nudged one of them and nodded their head in the pack's direction, which alerted the newcomers one by one that the McCall-Hale pack was watching them.

They sauntered over - well they walked but saying they sauntered made them look worse and the pack didn't want them to look good - and came to a halt in front of the pack. "Why're you watching us?", Zuku asked. "Can't we be curious when you speed in here all out of breath and angry?", Derek snapped back. The Hale alpha glanced over to the Mercury alpha and saw that once again, they were turned away and had their ridiculous red hood up. He scoffed and turned away to glare at the gravel under his feet.

"Of course, we only want to make sure you're not a threat. After all, your beta with the spiky hair and blue eyes seemed pretty threatening.", Sho said. "Well, your twins seemed pretty threatening as well.", Scott said through grit teeth. "Right. Again, we're sorry about those idiots, they're just protective.", Zuku replied. He and the ginger beside him seemed to be taking turns talking, it was almost as creepy as the identical twins that were giving them devilish smirks right now. "We should be on our way.", Derek cut in before stalking over to his Camaro. Erica, Issac, and Boyd bounded after him to climb in as well. The rest of the pack nodded politely to the Mercury Pack and went to their respective cars.

Stiles glanced up slightly, not showing his face still, but just enough to see that someone in the pack had bought a Jeep almost identical to his. His was currently back in Pennsylvania, as he knew bringing it would give away his identity. This second Jeep went untouched but it was as clean as can be and looked to be in perfect condition. Which pack member had bought it?

He turned away and decided not to think about it, leading the pack inside. He heard his former pack driving away and peeked out the window. He caught a glimpse of the last car leaving and sighed.

"So... that Jeep out their looks pretty similar to the one you have back home. Who do you think bought it?", Richie asked. "Rich!", Elena snapped. "What, I'm just asking!", he defended. She rolled her eyes and hugged into Stiles from the side. "Y'know I bet Scott regrets it. I bet they all do.", she consoled. "Thanks, Elena.", Stiles smiled softly at her.

"That Derek guy's a douche though, I don't see why you liked him. Let alone how you developed feelings for him.", Rich snorted from the kitchen table. "Alright, that's it. RICHIE, YOU LEAVE OUR ALPHA ALONE, YOU INSENSITIVE IDIOT!", Elena screeched, chasing the twin through the loft with her fangs out as he laughed and used other pack members as sentient shields.

Stiles laughed to himself and watched with fond eyes as his pack broke out into play fighting. He glanced back at the neighboring loft once more before joining in on the fun.

Who needs the McCall-Hale pack anyways?
