Out of Place

Beginnings

"What happened out there?", Stiles questioned as Mike stormed in. "He asked if any of us were from Beacon Hills. Specifically, you.", Mike answered honestly. "Shit.", Stiles whispered. "Do you think they know it's Stiles?! I WON'T LET THEM ANYWHERE NEAR HIM IF THEY DO!", Elena panicked. "E, calm down. They don't seem to know it's him yet, otherwise they'd be banging on our doors. Lucky for us, they're stupid, so they probably won't figure it out for a while and we might be gone by then.", Mike said.

"He's right. If we hurry up this operation, we can be out of here sooner.", Sabrina said. "I'll start helping with the translations.", she added.

"Let's hop to it, then.", Ian announced. The entire pack, save for one spaced out and worried looking alpha, got to work immediately.

After a few hours, they actually managed to get down to 15 possible translations. Unfortunately, these remaining 15 were the hardest ones to crack yet. It would definitely take them a few hours for each one.

"Okay. Let's split it up. There are 9 of us. We can do 1 each tomorrow and then the remaining 6 the next day.", Merlin announced. "Sounds good to me.", Ian replied. "Who'll get to rest though? Three of us won't have anything to do the second day.", 'Brina added. "True... how about this? The three that don't get a translation the second day can figure out how to get past this golem!", Merlin said. "Okay, who wants to do that?", Ian asked.

"It's my idea, so I can do it.", Merlin volunteered. "I'll help.", Izuku said. "Me too. I want to get rid of that thing as soon as possible.", 'Brina grumbled.

"Great then the rest of us will be finding the translation.", Shouyou declared.

"Sti? What about you?", Elena asked softly. "Hmm? Oh. I'll uh, I'll probably work with the nemeton. Help restore it to full health so it can help once we need it.", Stiles said. "Okay. Be careful.", Elena said. She was now standing next to him and rubbing his back soothingly. "Of course. I would never want to worry you, E.", Stiles smiled warmly. The vamp smiled back and hugged her alpha. "Good. I don't wanna lose another person.", she said. The rest of the pack looked on in understanding.

Elena had lost a lot of good people in her life, friends, family, even strangers died around her. When Stiles first offered her a place in the pack, she refused because she didn't want her "curse" to affect them. But when he saved her life, like he did with almost all of them, she couldn't refuse being by his side. Now, she and him were inseparable. She worried too much and he kept her by his side because of it. That's how it was with the whole pack really, they were a family. But Elena was the most attached because of her initial nightmares about losing Stiles. Most would never guess she got nightmares. It's hard for most people to remember that most of them were human before their lives turned to shit and the supernatural became apart of them.

For example, Mike and Richie started off as normal human twins. Well, as normal as it could be when they lived several states apart due to their parents' separation. But they both started human. Mike only became a spark when Stiles made him one to save him from drowning after he jumped off a cliff when Will Byers had gone missing. Will was now his boyfriend. And Richie became a demon after a group of psychopaths tried sacrificing him in exchange for power. It didn't go well and Richie obviously came back to life, but his vision was messed up. Stiles had brought him back after his demon side took over. He reunited the two twins and brought them to his pack.

Syd had run away to escape her dad after she thought Richie died and changed her name - it used to be Beverly - and she was turned by a rouge wolf when Stiles found her. She couldn't control her wolf side and her newfound powers as a witch were only making it worse, but Stiles helped her control it and took her in. That's when she found out Richie was still alive, just newly turned into a demon.

Merlin was on the run from a group of hunters that just so happened to be hunting Stiles as well. When Stiles managed to make peace with them, he forced them to make peace with Merlin as well. In fact, one of the hunters' sons, Arthur, had fallen in love with Merlin. They even adopted a cat together: Aithusa.

Izuku and Shouyou were also twins, just not identical. They were originally from Japan and both had entire lives and relationships over there but one trip to the U.S. led them to staying. Their family and relationships are long distance now, but once they get visas, their family and partners will be coming over to stay in the U.S. as well. When they came over, they were immediately flagged as werewolves by Stiles. Born werewolves. Stiles had known they would be at extreme risk of being caught by hunters so he taught them how to keep hidden and they decided to join his pack.

Ian was a victim of the dread doctors just before they came to Beacon Hills that Stiles had brought back to life through a powerful necromancer that owed him a favor and used Mike and Richie's special trait to contact: Mediumship. (All supernatural twins have a special trait. Izuku and Shouyou can create forcefields.) Stiles had brought Ian back to life to help destroy the last dread doctor mask but Ian had quickly become a very useful ally and joined the pack. Lucky for Ian, he wasn't dead long and was able to convince his family that he just went on a bender or something, and everything was fine after that.

Lastly, Sabrina was a half-witch that Stiles met through Bonnie. Bonnie was Elena's witch friend and she was helping Sabrina learn the basics of magic. 'Brina turned out to be quite powerful and quickly surpassed her teacher. That's when Bonnie handed her over to Stiles, who showed her even more and grew her powers to their full extent. In return, 'Brina swore her unwavering loyalty to Stiles.

And that's how Stiles became the alpha of one of the most powerful packs to exist. But how Stiles became a werewolf at all is a different, much sadder story.

After being kicked out of his original pack, Stiles moved to New York. (They all met there before moving to Pennsylvania.) While in New York, Stiles got a temporary job at a quaint diner. He was working late hours one night and had to close. There was a quiet customer who was still eating at closing time but she was nice enough that Stiles let her finish her meal. Because of this, he closed a little late and was walking home around one o'clock at night. Out of nowhere he was grabbed and dragged into an alley. The dark figure tried to mug him but in Stiles' struggle the figure ended up scratching him. The figure noticed the scratch and ran off. Turns out the claw marks were deep enough to turn him. A few days later, he witnessed another person being mugged and went to their rescue only to find the mugger was the same alpha that turned him. He fought the alpha and ended up killing her after she tried to kill the person she was mugging. And thus, Stiles was an alpha werewolf.
