"You cannot send me away!" I shouted at my Father, the King of Sapphire Island. I do not blame my hobbies or interest for being sent away, but my father, on the other hand, does.

I only blame my father for entertaining me with stories about uncharted waters and land, about the creatures that roamed the bottom of the seven seas, and about the stars that shone the secrets of the universe. My father guided my wit into the world of adventure, for my mother died years before I could ever immerse myself into her delightful world of elegance. I visit her closet from time to time, to reminisce about her. I attained my style from her. I managed to persuade the royal tailor into making me gowns similar to my mother's gowns. The royal tailor thought the designs of the gowns were outdated. I thought they were perfect, still are.

"I can and I will. '' My father shouted right back at me, he was taken aback by his uninvited volume. He signaled for the servants packing my bags to leave my wing. My bags were being packed for my undesired voyage, to the first uncharted somewhere that I don't fancy exploring. I could not believe my eyes, my father was resuming the packing.

"All I ever wanted from you, my darling, is to be happy and content" He sighed. Why is he saying this? I am happy and content with everything.
"Father, I am happy and content," I affirm to him.
"You may be happy, for you have everything the mind shall desire, but you are not content in the sense of you still venturing around the unknown" His words caught me aback. Happiness was a mere state, but being satisfied was the compass. I had my destination, but I was missing my compass. It's true, I did venture around looking for something, but the truth is, I never really knew what that something was.

"Well, maybe it's because it is what I have only known" I slightly raised my voice at the end of my statement. My father harmlessly looked at me, "You have grown up to be so much like your mother" he stood before me now with his hands cupping my face. I could not help but feel sad and merry at the same time. This was the first time he mentioned me in comparison to my late mother, and this also reminded me of her beauty, the one I stood in comparison to.

"You must voyage, my darling, you must see yourself in a new setting" my father persuaded. He is right to an extent, and wrong to an extent. If I remain here, I would only cause him more worry and trouble. I shall take his words, though voyaging is still not in my favor, I must go. I looked at my father and nodded in agreement of this voyage. I offered my father pleasure and satisfaction. I was not defeated into my choice, for it is an adventure, and I am not one to turn one down.
