(Y/N) walks back to his room and enters to find his master, looking rather disappointed.

Aayla: Where have you been, padawan?
Y/N: Training, master. I got up early to train and lost track of time, sorry?
Aayla: It's fine, it's good that you were training, but we have a war to win, and we won't win by being late.
Y/N: Okay. Where's our first assignment? I hope I wasn't late for briefing.
Aayla: you have yet to be late to briefing and our first mission is on Kamino, let's go.

               (Y/N) POV

As I walk through the Jedi Temple with my lightsaber pike strapped to my back and BD-88 on my shoulder my master asks asks a question about my lightsaber.

Aayla: Why do you have that strange lightsaber?

Y/N: Well, I was looking through The Jedi Path copy that I was given and I saw the lightsaber pike, the design just spoke to me, I felt like I should be the newest to carry it, when I was small and had first constructed my lightsaber it was a bit unwieldy but it's better now.

Master Secura does not speak, and I assume that she is contemplating what I've said. I should probably elaborate about the lightsaber pike, it's a weapon that isn't really used all that much anymore, the earliest mention I could find of it was back during the Eternal Empire debacle, the one so bad that the Jedi and Sith worked together to defeat it. During it's golden age the lightsaber pike was still considered a strange and unpopular weapon.

As I walk towards our transport our transport I hear light, agile footsteps behind us so I whip around to see one of my best friends, Ahsoka Tano.

Y/N: Hey Ahsoka, why are you sneaking around like that?
Ahsoka: I'm not "sneaking around" (Y/N) I'm walking normally, I just wanted to see you off on your first mission.
Y/N: Well, thank you, Ahsoka, it means a lot.
Ahsoka: No problem, I'm always willing to see my best friend off. Well, I have to go.
Y/N: Well, see you later.

But she was already running off to her master. I realize that I'm falling behind my master and run to catch up, I barely manage to make it there before the transport takes off.
