𝑻he morning came almost instantly. For a moment Hailey didn't remember how she would soon be shipped off. And when she did, she didn't get angry, or scream, or cry.

No. Instead, Hailey sat up from the couch and decided to live her life to the fullest before having it stripped away from her.

Most people would find her insane for simply accepting her fate, but she knew once her father decided something it was final.

She promptly gathered herself before heading out of the clubhouse and back home.

The house was quiet except for the occasional footsteps. Hailey quietly closed the door behind her and tried her best to sneak into her room. All was well until she passed by her father's office and caught his attention.

"Hailey?" He called out.

She cursed herself silently. "Yes, father?"

There was the sound of a chair being pushed back and Mr. Baker soon appeared in front of Hailey. He stared at her for a moment as if he wasn't sure what to say.

"I've already found a school that's perfect for you." He started. Hailey's face turned blank and unreadable as he continued talking. He droned on and on about the dorms and how many "respectable" friends she would make.

And when he had finally finished, Hailey nodded and headed for the stairs without a single word.

First thing Hailey did when the news had settled in was call her friends. She hadn't spoken to them since the news of her and Johnny had come out—she was just too nervous to see their reactions.

Eliza was the first person Hailey called. The conversation consisted of Hailey crying as Eliza consoled her. The others reacted with the usual confusion and surprise you'd expect.

The thing that broke her heart the most was having to call Johnny. She didn't know, but he had been waiting by the phone all night just to hear her voice.

"Hello?"

"Hello, Johnny. It's Hailey."

"Hailey, what's going on?"

This had been what Hailey was dreading. She waited a moment, hoping it was all a dream—that she wasn't going to truly leave all that she loved and knew.
