Kiera's POV
I opened my eyes and he was just standing there, staring out the window. Feeling a little awkward I sat up and greeted him.
"Morning."

He didn't say anything, it was still just silent. I reached for the lamp and realised it was gone. After a minute of silence, he finally spoke.

"You know Bethany, I spent everyday of my life in this room. Did you really think I wouldn't notice a missing lamp?"
He emphasised the part about a lamp which did make me feel a little stupid.
"Sh*t". I whispered. I turned to get out of the bed. I slid my shoes on ready to make a run for the door.

He continued to speak like I even cared.
"I did everything for you. I gave food, shelter and clothes and the way you say thank you, is by trying to kill me. God, I even killed a man for you."

I wanted to argue with him so bad, but I knew he would notice what I was doing. Once I had my shoes on I ran out the door. I locked the door behind me. I only locked one I didn't want to waste time. I ran straight for the front door but it was pad locked shut. I looked around the cabin for some sort of tool that I could cut the lock open with.

I could hear him slamming the door and shouting.
"BETHANY, OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!"

I opened all the drawers and cupboards searching every corner. All the windows were blocked. Then I heard the door slam open. I hid behind the sofa.

"How stupid do you think I am? Did you really think I would leave the door open?"

I tried to sneak closer to the kitchen so I could grab a knife. I crawled slowly and carefully keeping as low to the ground as I could. I couldn't see him so I used my hearing as best I could to pin point where he was. I looked under the sofa and saw his shoes.
"I will find you, you might as well give up hiding."

He wasn't moving. I made a daring move for the kitchen. When I looked up he was standing in front of me.
Sh*t I thought.

"Told you" he said with a smirk. He grabbed my hair and pulled me back to the room. He used my hair like a leash. I carried on pulling and trying to run away from him. It hurt like hell but I hoped my hair would just fall out. My head was stinging. It was so painful, but my adrenaline kicked in.

I hit him in the side of the stomach with my elbow. I fell forward and ran for the kitchen. I grabbed the knife from the top draw and waited for him to enter.

He walked in and didn't even flinch when he saw the knife. I gripped it as tight as I could. Ready for him to charge at me so I could end all this.

He smiled and began to talk.

"Bethany do you know the amount of times I've seen this. They all grab a weapon but are too scared to actually do anything."

I looked at him confused.

"I'm not Bethany" I snapped. "Anyway what do you mean they?"

"Well there were other girls. I would go out into town and pick a girl that was... suitable, but they never were. They didn't know how to behave like a good daughter should, but you. I saw the way you acted, You were different. This time you came to me, it was like we were destined to be together. She agreed you were perfect."

My heart started to pound. I couldn't even speak properly.

"Who's she?"

"My beautiful sweetheart, Bethany."

"F*ck, you see dead people now?" He ignored the comment. This was getting worse by the second.
