We had been driving for more than two hours. My dad stopped the black, five seater Audi.
"You have arrived at your destination."

"Wait that can't be right." My dad said looking at the sat nav.

"What's wrong?" I asked him, looking around at the same time.
He replied still messing with the sat nav.
"It's saying that we're here, but it doesn't look like the place. I think it may have messed up or something."

I sighed and mumbled "that's great" then turned to look out the window.

The scenery wasn't too bad. The grass was long at the edge of the road but when you looked further into the woods it looked dry and sheltered by the trees. The trees were tall some were bare and some were full of leaves and life. It was beautiful, in a creepy way.

"Why don't we just set up here?" I asked turning to him. He looked up and started to scan the area.

"We could, it's going to get dark soon, we might as well." He put the sat nav down and parked the car properly. We left our bags and stuff in the car and only got out the things we needed, like our tents, food and water.
My dad set up the red and blue tent and I kind of just stood there and watched.
"Why don't you go and get some fire wood after you set up those chairs". He suggested pointing at the foldable green chairs.

"Ok". It only took a few seconds to set up the chairs. Once I finished I headed out to get some fire wood.

"I'm going to get the wood now."

"Okay, be careful!"

"I will" I shouted back and I walked out into the forest to get some wood, ready for the fire tonight.

While I was walking I couldn't help but feel as thought someone was watching me. I looked around but all I could see was trees and broken twigs.

The floor was covered with dead leaves and branches. I could hear the leaves crunch and the twigs snap as I walked over them. In the background I could hear crows and other kinds of wild life communicating, It helped break the creepy silence that the forest possessed.

I found some wood and headed back to my dad when suddenly a twig snapped behind me. I turned quickly, there was nothing just a few birds looking for something to eat so I ignored it and headed back to my dad.

"I'm back" I yelled, making my dad aware of my presence.

I walked up to my dad and dropped all the wood on the floor. I still had that freaky feeling I was being watched so I kept my head up and stayed alert.

"You got it finally, you took that long I thought you was cutting down a tree."

He laughed and I gave a sarcastic groan and complained about how hard it was to find any decent wood. He chuckled and shook his head and replied

"well you're going to have to head out again tomorrow, there's only enough wood to last tonight."

I huffed and said "well we can worry about tomorrow, tomorrow I'm hungry right now."

I sat on the chair while my dad made something to eat. I ate a sandwich and went in to the tent, to get ready for bed. I set up my sleeping bag and went to bed.

The tent was big enough for both of us. To be honest I liked having my dad with me; that creepy feeling that someone was out there hadn't gone. I said good night to my dad and lay down.
