He had seen her before out in the forest, he just wanted to see her once more. She was a beautiful creature like none he had ever seen before. Pale alabaster skin and long ebony tresses. He knew better than to be roaming around her at night, but that was the only time he had ever been able to spot the woman of the woods. He supposed she was a deep forest dweller, but perhaps she was something else, something more... imaginative.

He knew there was a reason he had never seen her in the village, but he couldn't place why she always lingered out in the depths of the forest. She couldn't live out here on her own without someone to protect her. These woods were dangerous at night and something had been killing wandering civilians. He had originally come out here to figure out what it was, but he had only found traces of the creature.

His eyes darted to the trees to his left and he saw a flicker of pale skin. He turned that way swiftly and shot through the trees, chasing her deeper into the forest. When he finally caught up to her, she was cowering before a wolf-like beast. Perhaps this was what had been killing the civilians? He watched as she slunk back away from the beast, only for it to lunge at her and tear into her pale flesh with its sharp teeth, spraying vibrant red blood across the ground.

She released a scream as she ripped herself away from the creature's jaws, only to slash at it with her own clawed hands. He was right... she wasn't human. He didn't know what she was. "You need to run!" she screamed as the creature stalked closer to her. She looked back at him and he was captivated by her beauty. Beautiful pupilless lavender eyes stared back at him, pleading for him to run. He couldn't run though, she had him in a trance.

Her voice echoed at him to run, but no matter how many times she screamed it, he couldn't run. Her long ebony locks swirled around her as she spun back to face the wolf creature. She lunged for it and dug her bared fangs into its neck, causing it to whimper and try and shake her off but to no avail. He watched in awe as her fingernails glistened with the blood of the massive wolf as she repeatedly dug them into its flesh.

He fell to his knees the moment the wolf creature slumped across the ground with one final whimper as she tore out a chunk of its neck with her claws. She rushed to the nearby lake and washed herself of the creature's blood. When she returned, he was still sitting there on his knees in the middle of the clearing, in awe of what he had just witnessed. He turned his gaze to the beautiful woman once more and she narrowed her lavender eyes at him.

"You are some kind of fool." she hissed as she stalked over to him. She pulled him to his feet and tried to get him to move, but he wouldn't budge. He just grabbed her arm and pulled up her blood-stained sleeve and looked at the wound on her arm that was healing before his very eyes. She snatched her arm away from him and stepped back away from him. "Do not touch me... human." she spat and he stared at her in awe once more.

"Wait... who are you?" he asked and she scowled at him as she vanished into the darkness once more. He chased after her and found a small house hidden away in the depths of the forest. He reached and touched the door, only for it to slip open without him even touching it fully. He pushed it open the rest of the way and she was crouched in front of a box in the floor. "What are you?" he asked and she turned swiftly on her heel and appeared before him in the blink of an eye.

"You must have a death wish... following me here." she hissed and he reached out and grabbed her arm gently pulling her closer to him. She pulled herself from his grasp once more and turned away from him. She began rummaging through the box once more and sighed when she realized he wasn't going to leave. She turned back to face him and ran a hand through her long hair. She seemed annoyed with him.
