Fear not, little one. There is nobody who from you would shun.
Walk in all your pettiness. Let them admire your prettiness.
For when you're young and merry and gay,
when you think you don't have a say,
That is when you must push forward.
Stop! Or else, go onward.
Else those smiles will fail to flow. All at once faces cease to glow.
You will see your impending doom, while all the same like a racehorse you are groomed.
You are given a path, asked to run,
Until you lose all hope of joy and fun.
And just when you wonder why you've started,
You are already long departed.
Race then, wither you will, little horse! Or race not at all.
For only when the self is free, in your soul some joy you may see.
Choose your grass or none at all,
You may like some sugar after all.
Would you choose to gallop free?
Or would you prefer a shady tree?
Run if you will, little horse. The whole world signals to you in Morse.
Race where they would or where you will, but race until the world stands still.
Choose to grow and grow some more,
Until all know from shore to shore
That one little horse which dared to run
Found his right to have some fun.
Or stop if you will and run not at all. Watch the world from spring till fall.
Learn of the tale; the story of life: That one thing that's sharp as a knife.
Share the joy, share the sorrow
So that others may have a better tomorrow.
Give them joy, give them wisdom.
Let them make a peaceful kingdom.
You see, little one, horses run and horses fall, even some who feel very tall.
They will tell you how to act because they failed and that's a fact.
Listen to all or listen not at all,
But make your choice completely yours.
For when old horses go and you take their place,
What, oh what shall be the look on your face?
