City of Scoundrels

NOTE: This is just a poem.

In all the justice in the land

They had a large and ugly hand

Establishing order, making laws

And condemning all the flaws

That they did not suffer.

In a while they were the best of all.

They met together in golden halls

And conspired for long to conquer and rule.

Fates they held in a golden spool

And cut off what was waste.

The rest were wrong and guilty as can be.

Even those like you and me

Who strive  be honest and true

In every single task that we do.

But they did not confirm.

The citizens tried to follow the law,

But in each of them there was a flaw

And that they couldn't change.

That was how it was all arranged

When the rulers were caught.

Said the citizens: "What is this!

Is there a law that you missed?

You have done some wrong too!"

And they wanted to hit them with their shoes,

But the rulers argued.

"Stop now! Stop there!

Without our guidance how would you fare?

All we've done we've done for you

After all you've got no brains in you!"

And the citizens left.
