Amelia knew how she was trying to make it all work with Simon. It had been going well so far while she had been living with him. She had thought it would have been tense as they were also living with Simon's daughter.

She knew that it was going to take time getting used to. And it wasn't easy. But she was happy that things were going well. She knew that things were always going to take time.

Amelia's friendship with Olivia had been going well too. But Amelia didn't want to take advantage of her best friend by having her babysitting Isabella.

All she knew was that things were going well for her. And she didn't want to rock the boat. So she was going to do all she could to make it work.

When she woke that morning, she saw Simon walking into the bedroom. He smiled and climbed into bed. He kissed her and smiled. "Good morning," he said.

"Morning."

Simon looked to her and smiled. "I've booked a week away. Me, you, Liv and the kids. What you saying?" He asked.

"Sounds good. But will Liv want to come? I know that she's got her own life now," Amelia said as she looked to him.

Simon nodded. He took her hand. "I'll talk to her. I'm sure she will. She needs a holiday too. Especially after all that's happened with Sue," he said.

Amelia smiled and kissed him. She looked to him and sighed. "Are you sure you're happy with us being here? I mean, it can't be easy."

"Oh hush. I'm happy you're here. And Liv is happy you're here. You're her best friend. And she loves having you here," Simon told her with a smile.

He wanted Amelia to feel comfortable being there. But he knew she was having her doubts about it.

Amelia went into school. She saw Liv and walked over to her. She smiled. "Hey. Did your dad talk to you?" She asked.

Liv turned to her and nodded. "He did. Something about a holiday?"

"Yeah. Is it something you'd be interested in?" Amelia asked, wanting to make an effort with her friend.

Liv nodded and smiled. She looked to her. "I don't know why you're worried about making me happy. I'm okay. I honestly am. You're my best friend. And I'm glad you're with my dad. You make him happy," she told her.

Amelia nodded. But she was still worried that she was going to lose her best friend.

Simon pulled Amelia into his arms and kissed her. He held her close. "You are making me happy. I hope you know that," he said as he kissed her neck.

"I know. You make me happy too. We've got this right?"

"We have."

The two of them kissed as Simon bit her lip. He smirked. "Tonight I'm going to make you scream my name so badly," he whispered as he kissed her neck.

Amelia groaned as she felt him turning her on. She looked to him and grinned. "Not if I make you scream first," she said as she turned and walked off.

Simon stood there and smiled. But would things work the way they wanted them to?
