Chapter 4 : The Bus Trip

Location: Omnia Academy - Front Gates

Here we are in 2022. Everyone had a good time during Christmas and the New Year's Party wasn't bad itself. Only a few people accidentally got caught on fire, and only one of those people got hurt badly. Still, a good way to bring in the New Year.

Here's a quick rundown of interesting events that happened within the first few weeks of 2022. First off, Mario waited for a bus and that somehow led to angering Gods that watch over the space-time continuum, but it's okay, because they calmed down after Mario and some of his friends took them to a carnival themed around one-eyed monsters. Then, Mario escaped psychotic robots, a murderer, and a blob of wires from a Freddy Fazbear's. And then set the place on fire. Mario destroyed the world in anger after seeing an Among Us meme. And finally, Mario ran for student president but then got burned at the stake moments after getting elected. Luckily, everyone forgot and things went back to normal. As normal as this world could get at least...

For a nice change of pace, our heroes have signed up for a field trip to the forest, courtesy of Shroomy's camping club. Right now, Axol was dropping Melony off at the front gates of the campus.

Axol : Welp, there's everyone. Hope you have fun on the field trip.

Melony : Thanks. And you're sure you can't come along with me ?

Axol : Sorry, I just have a lot to do today. I opened up commissions and in a matter of hours, all of the slots were filled up.

Melony : Aww...

Axol : Hey, don't worry Melony. I'm sure you'll have a good time with all the others.

As Melony stepped out of the car, she immediately spotted some of her friends near the front gate. She saw Mario, Shroomy, Bob, as well as Saiko and Tari. She went to join them as Axol drove back home.

Melony : Hey guys !

Tari : Melony !

Boopkins : Glad to see that you're here.

Melony : [pointing at Tari and Saiko] Hey, why are you two coming ?

Saiko : Because we've been asked to babysit him !

She then pointed at Mario, who wasn't a big fan of that.

Mario : I still don't see the point of this. It was only one time.

Saiko : You caused $46,100 worth of property damage !

Mario : ...And it was only one time !

After a while of waiting, the bus finally arrived. The doors opened up to reveal that Swag was driving it.

Swag : You kids want some candy ?

Everyone was unamused as they were waiting for so long.

Saiko : You know, just from that sentence alone, it's clear you're new to this.

Swag : Well, I'm not supposed to be driving buses. I'm supposed to be fighting in the military !

Saiko : ...

Swag : *sighs* Just get in the damn bus already...

Everyone then proceeded to get on. Saiko was pulling Mario by the overalls.

Saiko : Come on, let's get to your assigned seat.

Mario : Yeah yeah...

Once everyone was properly seated, Shroomy stepped forward at the front of the bus.
