Hidden Mate

Prologue

"Tae, when are you coming? I can't wait to see you~"

Omega asked excitedly as he gazed at his own beautiful reflection in the mirror. But, his face, which looked at himself in the mirror with proud eyes, quickly turned sullen.

"You didn't even come here last summer, don't you miss me?"

"Jin hyung, what are you saying~ I always miss you~ so I'm going there tomorrow~"

"What? Really? Are you coming tomorrow?"

"Jin Babe, Is someone coming tomorrow? Who?"

Looking through the mirror, Jin watched affectionately at Namjoon, who came up behind him and kissed him on the shoulder. As he watched Namjoon bury his nose in the nape of his neck and inhale his scent, he raised a hand and gently caressed Namjoon's cheek, giving him a soft smile.

"Joonie, our Tae is coming tomorrow!"

"What, really? Is that Taehyung?"

Namjoon then raised his head and pointed to the phone in Jin's hand and asked, his face brightened with joy. Jin looked at his mate lovingly and pressed the speakerphone button on his cell phone. Jin spoke again in a soft voice.

"Tae, I'm not the only one missing you, can you hear?"

"Tae! Tae, you mean boy! How can you be so careless? Don't you know we're always waiting for you?"

"Joonie hyung! Heeheehee~"

Namjoon and Jin's hearts melted at the boy's giggling over the speaker. Soon, they sat side by side and stared at the phone together, waiting for the boy to speak.

"Um... I'm going to you tomorrow. Is it okay if I stay with you the whole this summer...?"

"Oh! Really? Can you really stay whoel summer with us? Oh, we love it. Absolutely!"

"Tae, are you asking that as a question? You're always welcome to us, didn't you know that yet?"

As Jin and Namjoon scolded him, the boy's giggling sounded through the speakers once more. Jin and Namjoon leaned on each other and laughed softly together.

Jin and Taehyung are cousins.

It was not common for packs to attack other packs like in the old stories, and many werewolves lived among humans, but still some liked to form their own nests in packs. Jin and Taehyung mothers were sisters, and after meeting her mate, Taehyung's mother left their pack and lived among humans.

Then one day, Jin's parents suddenly passed away in an unexpected accident. And, Jin was only 5 years old. Sympathy from all the pack members poured out for the poor little omega boy who lost his parents.

But not everyone was pure-hearted.

Despite his young age, everyone in the pack never doubted that he was an omega of unearthly beauty. Those who coveted him and had dirty minds each offered to become his guardians, and the poor boy, who had no other family, was in danger of being left in their hands. At that time, it was Taehyung's parents who saved him from the crisis. Taehyung's parents adopted him, and Jin left the pack that day. Taehyung was not yet born when Jin was adopted by his aunt. Jin had loved to put his tiny hand on her aunt's belly and feel the baby's movements. Every day, he prayed to the moon for his aunt and baby, and when he was 6 years old, Taehyung was born.
