Hidden Mate

1. Alpha saw Omega...

Taehyung stared out the window with empty eyes. It had been a while, but it wasn't the first time he had been there, but the scenery outside the window was oddly unfamiliar to him.

The omega boarding school he had been living in was about 5 hours away by train from the pack where Jin belonged. The only thing he had brought with him was a backpack, which was thrown carelessly beside him. Taehyung was deep in thought, fingering the shoulder strap on one side of his backpack.

"Taehyung, I'm really sorry to saying this. But if you're here, others might get in danger."

"I was predicting it. I can't put anyone in danger because of me. It should never happen again..."

"Taehyung, it's not your fault... nobody's fault. It's... it's because they're just selfish demons."

Taehyung pressed his lips together tightly to hold it in, but he couldn't help but groan in pain. 

In fact, he had nowhere to go. His parents refused to be part of the pack and lived among the people. So, for him who suddenly lost his parents, he had nowhere to go once he left boarding school. But knowing that his parents were murdered by the thugs who were looking for him, he couldn't put others in danger. 

"Taehyung, have you decided where to go? Your house is still dangerous to you. They may still be looking for you."

"I'm just... going to a place where no one is."

"No! You can't! You haven't met your mate yet. Your mate must be the True Blood Alpha. You have to find him. Meet him! Then... you're safe!"

"What does that help? My dad was also a true blood alpha. And my mom was a rare omega! But...but they couldn't protect each other. So maybe, it's better for my mate, if we never meet."

"It can't be! Taehyung, look. Your parents were killed by them without knowing anything. Now that you know of their existence, you must prepare for their attack."

Murder disguised as an accident... Taehyung was speechless when the principal said that not only his parents but also Jin's parents must have been killed by the same thugs. At that time, Jin's family was a member of the pack. And yet, how could that have happened? Taehyung couldn't even go to Jin when he felt that being part of the pack couldn't help. The thought that he might unnecessarily put them in danger led him to the conclusion that he had to go to a place where no one was.

"I have no one...."

"No, you have Jin! Taehyung, go to Jin. They will be able to protect you. Their pack is deep in the forest, and there are warriors guarding it. Their pack is the most powerful pack with valiant warriors from generation to generation. You will be safe there. Taehyung, just  go to Jin! Stay there until you meet your mate!"

"But-"

"Hah-"

Taehyung let out a long sigh. He wanted to insist that there must be another way. But unfortunately, he had no other options. It was obvious that if he persisted, the principal would risk letting him stay there. Taehyung tried to convince himself that it was a better choice for everyone if he stayed in Jin's Pack, guarded by warriors, rather than where the powerless Omegas were gathered. Of course he will have to appeal to get the pack leader's approval. Whether he wanted it or not... But will the pack leader allow the rare Omega Boy to stay with his pack at his own peril?
