2. Mate...

'You did it! V, you finally did it!'

'We did it. You and Me. Good job, Tae.'

V could feel Taehyung's giggling. As he rocked vigorously, his beautiful white fur grew fuller, and he stretched out to enjoy his wolfish appearance for the first time. Looking at the scene outside the cave, V's eyes sparkled with excitement. He wanted to run through the deep forest, cutting through the wind.

'I'm ready! Let's get out of here!'

'V, wait- slowly- I understand how you feel, but we still have to be careful...'

Taehyung was scared. It was surprising and, of course, gratifying to have his wolf out into the world for the first time, but the first time was always accompanied by fear. 

Taehyung had only been here once and had no idea how to get to where Jin was. What should he do if there are other wolves in the deep forest? If this place wasn't occupied by Jin's pack, wouldn't he be in danger? If there are thugs who are after him, can he fight them back? But didn't he just transform into a wolf for the first time? His wolf is beautiful but feels small and weak, can he stand up to the thugs nonetheless? Taehyung was very scared and nervous.

V could immediately sense Taehyung's fear. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, waiting for Taehyung to calm down. During his time at the boarding school, perhaps ever since Taehyung was born, he had been with Taehyung. 

The werewolf could be fully awakened when the humans became aware of their wolf's presence within them. It could be slightly different depending on the individual, but in Taehyung's case, it was quite late. He is a rare blood omega, moreover a male. Although he possessed unrecognizable strength, Taehyung hadn't even felt his wolf's presence. All V could do was wait for Taehyung to feel his presence and set him free. 

However, when V learned that their parents had been killed by thugs who were looking for him, he had a gut feeling that their moon goddess had been hiding his existence only to protect them. And as he predicted, when Taehyung turned 18, he was able to make Taehyung aware of his existence.

His human, Taehyung, was warm, kind and beautiful. But he was still weak and unstable. Although he had never undergone any training, V believed he could stand up to the thugs. He is a rare blood omega and he could roughly feel his powers. But still the problem is Taehyung. V knows how Taehyung feels about him. He needed Taehyung's trust.

Specifically, they needed to trust each other.

They lingered in the cave for some time, and when they finally stepped out of the cave, they were extremely cautious and wary.

'Wow, so beautiful...'

When they were finally out of the cave, V held his head high toward the sky and took a deep breath. The air there was definitely different from the city. V once again stretched his body and posed as if he were about to run.

'V, don't forget. We don't know anything about this place. Also, Jin-hyung is waiting for us, so we have to find a way to get there.'

'I know. Don't worry, Tae. But just set me free for a little while...'
