*Ame POV*
So I'm finally here... Hololive Academy. Never thought I'd be back in school... but that's not why I'm here. I need to keep focused on my main objective, I need to-
"Hey yo! Yeah, you, blondie! Over here!" I hear from behind me. Bubba begins growling at the female voice behind me.
"Ayo! Bruh, tell that dog to like, chill. He looks mad angry yo," the girl says. I turn around, and am met with an unusual sight. She's not wearing a school uniform, her clothing style seems... chaotic.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" I ask, on my guard.
"My name is like, Hakos Baelz, yo. But you can just call me Bae, ya dig? Alright, I'll stop talking like that now, you're that new girl, aren't you?" The girl, who's named Bae, asks.
"Bae, huh? What do you want with me?" I ask, slightly holding Bubba back.
"I've been told to give the new girl a tour of the school, and I assume that's you," Bae explains.
"Yes, I'm Amelia Watson, but most people just call me Ame," I say, introducing myself.
"Alright, Ame. Follow me, this rat's gonna show you around the school!" She announces.
"Rat?" I ask, confused.
"Oh, um... I was talking about the little guy on my head, Mr.Squeaks! Yeah, that's who I meant... haha," she awkwardly explains, scratching her neck.
"Oh, I didn't even see that little guy on your head... is that why Bubba seems so angry?" I ask, still holding Bubba back.
"That could be! Thanks for holding him back, by the way," she says.
"No problem. Bubba, come on boy, calm down. I'll get you a special treat if you behave yourself," I negotiate with him, and that seems to calm him down. Now he just seems excited for the treat I'll give him.
"Okay, that's all good. Actually, is there a place I can put down my suitcase?" I ask Bae.
"Sure is! I'll show you where it is, come on," she says, leading me inside.
"So, your name is Bae, but what exactly is your role around here?" I ask as we're walking in.
"Oh, I'm from the student council! Normally the class representative would be the one to give new students a tour, but she's not her right now, so she sent me in her place," Bae enthusiastically explains.
"The class representative is IRyS, correct? I read something about that online," I ask.
"Correct! You really did your homework, huh?" She teases.
"Of course I did, I like to be well prepared," I tell her.
"Evidently! Well, anyways, you wanted to put your bag down, correct? Here, this is the student council room. I'm sure they wouldn't mind you leaving it here while we tour," Bae suggests.
"Are you sure they wouldn't mind?" I ask.
"Well I'm part of the council, and I don't mind, so I don't see why they would! And if they do have a problem with it, then the blame will be on me!" She says, opening the door.
"Okay... thanks, Bae," I smile, and drop my bag off in the corner.
"No problem! Wish I could introduce you to the rest of council, but they're out with IRyS handling something off school grounds. Should be back in about 3 or 4 hours. Anyways, let's get touring!" She declares, throwing her hands up as her, Bubba and I tour the school grounds.
As we toured, I often stopped and asked questions. But I'll be honest, this Bae girl wasn't... very good at answering them. At times it seemed like I knew more about this school than she did. I'll have to look this stuff up later to get more solid answers.
One thing that surprised me about this school that I didn't see online was just how many unique side rooms there were. Stuff like a greenhouse, a recording studio, a mini aquarium, and other stuff like that. Like, why would a school need an aquarium? I'll need to keep my eye on this, there's something weird about that.
Other than that, there wasn't really anything noteworthy that I didn't already know, though near the end of the tour, something interesting happened. Bae had stopped to use the bathroom, and I was waiting outside for her.
"Stop the tour for a second, I need to talk to you!" I heard a voice from behind me. When I turned around, I was met with a taller, pink haired girl. She seemed to have a very intense look on her face, and I couldn't help but notice that she was very... well developed, to put it modestly.
"Oh I'm sorry, do you need something?" I ask her, which only seems to make her madder.
"I need you to stop talking to my girlfriend," she says, glaring at me.
"Your girlfriend? What're you talking about?" I asked her, genuinely confused.
"Kiara!" She yelled, pushing me up against the wall and holding me there. "She was just gushing about you earlier, and that really pissed me off. You think you're some big shot, just because you could solve a few cases? I'm the only one she's supposed to gush about, got it?" She asked, her voice now suddenly very low and menacing.
Bubba now seems very angry, and looks like he's ready to attack this girl. I'm not trying to deal with that aftermath right now, so I decide to descalate the situation.
"O-okay... okay, I won't talk to her again. I'm sorry, I didn't mean anger you or anything. You have my word," I calmly tell her, and that seems to calm her down a bit. At least, it calms her enough for her to back off of me.
"Good, glad we understand each other," she says. Right after she says that, Bae returns.
"Huh, sis?! Hey, what's going on here? She hasn't even had her official first day yet, could you please lay off her a bit?" She asks, with a look of concern on her face.
"What do you mean, Bae? I was just saying hello to our new student," she states, and Bae looks at me seemingly for confirmation. I simply nod my head in response.
"Alright... if you're sure, then I'll drop it," Bae sighs, and the pink haired girl walks away.
"I know she wasn't just saying hello, but don't let her get to you. She's usually a really nice girl, but she's just been really stressed lately. I'm sure you two could become friends, even if the start of the friendship was rocky!" She says, trying to be positive.
"If you say so..." I respond.
"I know so! Anyways, we just have the dorms left to see. You have your room number and key, correct?" She asks.
"Yep, room SC-P-682. I have to ask though, why're the rooms designated so weirdly? What do the letters mean?" I ask.
"Beats me, I wouldn't think too hard about it!" She says, and I'm honestly a bit too tired at this point to push the issue. Then she leads Buddy and I up to the dorms, after we grab my bag from the council room, of course.
As we reach my dorm room, Bae bids me farewell, and continues down the hallway. I first knock on the door to see if anyone is there, I don't hear a response, so I clumsily unlock the door and enter, closing the door behind me.
I'll be honest, I'm exhausted after today. So once I enter, I find where the beds are, and flop down on it. It sounds like whoever my roommate is taking a shower in the bathroom, but I'm too tired to stay up and meet them. I could always just introduce myself tomorrow. I really hope they're nice... anyways, I don't feel like waiting for Bae to return to change my clothes, so I just close my eyes and fall asleep.
