billie was a very intelligent girl, her mother found that out at a early age when she spoke earlier than any other baby would normally.

overtime they would read innocent bed time stories to billie as she grew older, which led to her obsession with reading.  she was so fascinated on how words written on a piece of paper could create images in a persons mind.

she sat down in the wooden table in the middle of her local library as she finished up a book she had only been reading for a week.

she loved reading at the library instead of her own home because of the peace and quiet it brought to her.

many people wouldn't expect her to be the way she is because of her appearance. her jet black
hair and baggy clothes with chains and large rings that hugged her fingers made her look like some type of rebel.

she wasn't though, she was probably the sweetest person you'll ever meet but no one took the time to get to know her to find that out.

closing the book she was currently reading, she stood up and pushed her chair in heading to the front desk to return the book that was in her hand.

"one of my favorites, how was it?" the librarian- ruby  said as she grabbed the hard covered book.

ruby was a nice old lady, she had become familiar with seeing billie around a lot. they had even built a little friend ship over time.

"it was great actually! the ending really took me by surprise though" billie spoke as she watched friendly woman with winter-white hair place the book on a rack.

"well i hope you're next book brings you just as much joy!" the sun kissed older woman spoke with a bright smile.

billie responded with a 'thank you' before walking off to another bookshelf in the huge library.

she didn't exactly know why, but she had become more interested in oceans overtime. after her brother finneas sent her a video from his vacation of him surf boarding in the ocean- she decided she would add it to her bucket list.

deciding she would get a book about oceans- she walked to the genre she suspected it would be located at and began looking through the hundreds of books.

their was another girl on the section with her standing right behind her. she couldn't get a good look at her, but she looked like a really pretty girl even from a small glance.

billie continued pushing and searching through books with her ring covered fingers as the girl that was standing behind her moved beside her.

a blue covered book caught billie's eye and she pulled it out with a smile when she saw that it was exactly the book she was looking for.

"are there anymore over there?" the unknown girl spoke giving billie a chance to actually take in her appearance.

she had long black hair that brought out her brown eyes and button nose with a few freckles above it. her skin was a copper brown and her lips were puffy and kiss inspiring.

this girl was beautiful.

"uhm- no i think this was the last one actually" billie said once she had snapped out of her trance from the girls beauty.

"dang it... thank you though" the brown skinned girl spoke as she returned her attention back to the books in front of her.

billie stood their dumbfounded as she stared at the girl that she had spoken to a couple of moments ago.

she watched as her acrylic and ring covered fingers glided over the books as her eyes examined them.

"you can- you can have this one" billie stuttered out as she handed the book to her. the girl softly shook her head as she gave billie the book back.

"it's okay, i'll just find another one" she said as her doe eyes gazed over billie's bliss-blue ones.

"take it... i don't even really need it" billie spoke as she handed the girl the book back in which she kindly accepted this time.

"are you sure? i could just find anot-" her explanation was cut off

"yes i promise you can take it" billie said as she chuckled and sent the girl a smile, earning the same one right back.

"thank you so much?...." the girl said as she squinted her eyes waiting for billie to introduce herself.

"billie" the girl smiled at billies name before introducing herself.

"avery" she stuck her hand out for billie to shake and her acrylic ghosted over the top of billies palm as she did- sending shivers down her spine.

"i'll see you around?" avery said as she held onto the book and looked at billie with a smile.

"yeah... see you around" billie said as she smiled and took in the girls features one last time before she walked off.

for the rest of the day billie couldn't get the new girl off of her mind. she was literally all she could think about. she even called her brother gushing over her and he just smiled at how happy billie had sounded as she described the girl.

she hoped she would see her again some time soon.
