As he took a sip, his phone chimed with a notification. Intrigued, Kaoru picked it up and unlocked the screen. His eyes widened with confusion as he read the message

Kaoru's heart raced as he quickly got ready and hopped on his skateboard, determined to reach his house as fast as possible

Thoughts swirled in his mind, wondering why Kojiro and his aunties were unexpectedly gathered there. With each push of his skateboard, he felt a mixture of concern and curiosity building within him

As Kaoru burst through the front door, his eyes scanned the living room, landing on the sight of Kojiro sitting on the couch surrounded by his aunties. Confusion and surprise painted his face as he blurted out, "Why are you here?"

His auntie, who was known for her directness, shot him a disapproving look. "Don't talk like that, Kaoru! Show some respect."

Another one of Kaoru's aunties chimed in, her voice laced with a hint of teasing. "This is why you do not have a girlfriend, always rushing in without thinking."

Feeling a mix of annoyance and embarrassment, Kaoru lightly smacked Kojiro's arm, signaling for him to get up. "Please, not now, Auntie. I know."

His auntie, undeterred, turned her gaze towards Kojiro. "I bet Kojiro has a girlfriend already. He's such a catch!"

Kojiro stood up, shaking his head with a wry smile. "No, not yet, Auntie."

The aunties exchanged shocked glances. "Seriously? How do you not have a girlfriend yet? You know how to cook, you're polite, and you're rich! You are husband material!" One of them raised an eyebrow, clearly perplexed by the situation.

Maintaining his composed demeanor, Kojiro replied, "I'm still waiting for the right person."

With a nod of agreement, Kaoru gave Kojiro a death stare. As Kojiro walked off with a smile, Kaoru followed closely behind, leaving the aunties behind in their lively discussion

"Don't ruin your face with that expression beautiful. I basically just helped you by not being perfect" Kojiro walked into the next room

Kaoru couldn't help but wonder why Kojiro had shown up unexpectedly at his house. As they settled in the room, he turned to his friend with a curious expression. "Why did you actually come here?"

Kojiro flashed a mischievous grin. "Oh, you know, just felt like paying a visit to our beloved aunties. They always have interesting stories to tell."

Kaoru raised an eyebrow, sensing that Kojiro was hiding something. Before he could press further, Kaoru's mom walked into the room, her eyes widening in surprise at the sight of her son "Kaoru? When did you get here? would you like to eat with us all?"

Kaoru quickly interjected, declining the offer. "No, Mom, it's alright. I'm not hungry."

But Kojiro, seizing the opportunity to tease his friend, jumped in. "Actually, Kaoru wants to eat with us. Right, Kaoru?"

Kaoru shot Kojiro a warning nudge, silently pleading with him not to make things more complicated. His mom smiled warmly, oblivious to their silent exchange. "That's wonderful! The food is already set on the table. Let's go, both of you."

Reluctantly, Kaoru followed his mom and Kojiro to the dining room. The long, elegant dining table seemed even larger than usual, accentuating the awkwardness between the two friends. They were swiftly separated as one of the aunties eagerly pulled Kojiro to sit next to her, leaving Kaoru alone at the other end of the table.

As they began to eat, Kaoru couldn't help but notice Kojiro stealing glances in his direction. Every time their eyes met, however, Kojiro would quickly avert his gaze. It was as if there was something unsaid between them, a tension that lingered in the air.

Trying to break the silence, Kaoru engaged in conversation with his aunties seated nearby, but his mind remained preoccupied with Kojiro's weird behavior. He wondered what was going on in his friend's mind, what unspoken words hung between them.

As the meal progressed, Kaoru's mom beamed with joy, seeing her son and his friend together. She tried to involve both of them in the conversation, blissfully unaware of the underlying tension. But every time Kaoru glanced at Kojiro, the fleeting eye contact was met with avoidance.
