As Kaoru stood inside his room when he received a call on his phone. Seeing Kojiro's name on the screen, he answered and brought the phone to his ear. "Hello?"

Kojiro's voice came through the line. "Hey, Kaoru! I'm outside the building. Come down, I'm waiting."

Kaoru replied, "Alright, I'll be down in a second." He quickly grabbed his wallet and headed out of the apartment building, making his way toward Kojiro's car parked by the curb

As he approached, he noticed Kojiro staring at him, a peculiar expression on his face.

"What's wrong with you?" Kaoru asked, puzzled by Kojiro's sudden change in demeanor.

Kojiro shook himself out of his reverie and smiled. "Nothing, nothing at all. Just lost in thought for a moment there."

He opened the passenger door and gestured towards it. "After you, princess."

Ignoring the nickname, Kaoru climbed into the car, taking his seat. Kojiro went around and settled into the driver's seat

The engine roared to life as they embarked on their journey to the grand mansion hosting the event.

As they arrived and the car came to a stop, Kojiro turned to Kaoru. "We're here."

Before Kojiro could unbuckle his seatbelt, Kaoru reached out and gently grasped Kojiro's face, turning it towards him.

Confusion spread across Kojiro's face, his cheeks reddening at the unexpected contact. Kaoru brushed aside a few strands of Kojiro's hair and remarked, "Your hair is all messy. You should fix it." With that, he released his grip and turned away, a faint blush creeping onto his own cheeks.

Kojiro exited the car, trying to conceal the blush on his face with his hand. Meanwhile, inside the car, Kaoru buried his face in his hands, mortified by his actions.

After a moment, he composed himself and stepped out of the vehicle, making his way toward the mansion.

Kojiro handed the car key to one of the butlers nearby, instructing them to park it, and then he extended his arm toward Kaoru. "Come on, let's go," he said, hoping to salvage the situation

Kaoru glanced at Kojiro's outstretched arm, a look of disgust on his face. "I'm not going to do that," he retorted, walking up the stairs without waiting for Kojiro.

Kojiro sighed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and frustration. He called out to his friend. "Kaoru, wait up! I'm sorry, I'll fix my hair."

Kaoru stopped in his tracks, considering Kojiro's words for a moment. Realizing that dwelling on the awkwardness wouldn't do them any good, he nodded and waited for Kojiro to catch up, before wrapping his arm around Kojiro's

Kojiro was taken aback by the other's sudden move.

Kaoru moved his lips closer to Kojiros ears and whispered "Your hair is fine, I was just messing with you"

Kojiro's cheeks grew crimson as he tried to hold back his urge to punch the pink head

Inside the house, the butler greeted Kaoru and Kojiro as they entered, and they acknowledged him with a nod before venturing further into the expansive building.

The event was filled with a predominantly older crowd, mingling and engaging in conversation.

As they made their way through the crowd, a distinguished-looking man with gray hair, subtly mixed with hints of blonde, approached them

He appeared significantly older, exuding an air of maturity and wisdom. The man addressed them, "Kojiro? Kaoru?"

Both boys turned to face him, trying to place his familiar face. Kaoru's memory clicked into place first. "Uncle Kay! It's been a while. How are you?"
