[-Grayson-]

Weekends are the days that I look the most forward to.

It's currently Friday and I couldn't wait for the day to be over.

"Hey, Gray!" A squeaky voice sounded behind me and I tried to ignore it, continuing to talk to the guys. "Grayson!" Sabrina's voice becomes more desperate and closer.

"Aren't you going to answer?" Wyatt questioned, nudging me in the ribs with his elbow.

"There's a reason why I'm ignorin—oh, okay." I got pulled from behind and an arm circled mine. Ezra, Forrest and Wyatt stopped with me, thank fuck.

"Come to my party tonight. There's going to be drinks..." Her voice trailed off, implying that I should go.

"I'm pretty busy." That was a complete lie, I was planning to watch the last season on Brooklyn Nine-Nine until my eyes can't open anymore. None of my friends wanted to watch it with me so I was on my own.

"I'm sure you can make time. Maybe a quick drive-by?" God, I wanted to leave.

"I-"

"We would love to come." Forrest replied, slinging an arm over my shoulder.

I shot him a quick look of what the fuck do you think you're doing. "Actuall-"

"Really! Great, bring whoever you like! See you there!" She said in a rush, not giving me a chance to interrupt as she slipped away in a passing group of girls.

"What was that?" I whipped around to the shitheads that just betrayed me.

"Come on," Ezra dragged me as the group kept walking on into the apartment building. "Loosen up a bit. You've been too stressed about shit." He slapped me on the back and left it to me to catch up.

"I'm not going. You guys feel free to."

"Too late, you're already coming." Forrest argued, pressing a button on the elevator.

"I'm inviting the girls. I doubt they haven't been asked already." Wyatt said, tapping away on his phone. We waited a few seconds before he spoke up again. "They're going so we should too."

"I'm going with Josie." That was obviously Forrest. "You guys can fend for yourself." He unlocked his door and waved goodbye. "Farewell, my single best friends." Then shut the door behind him.

"Dick." Ezra muttered entering the room of his own. "You guys better come." He added, "Not like that." He murmured to himself.

Wyatt and I parted ways as I got to my door.

I felt a vibration from my phone as I shut the door behind me. Music was buzzing through Eve's room and I tried to push it out of my mind.

"Party's at eight." Forrest texted the group chat.

"Thanks." I gently placed my phone on the kitchen counter and I quickly moved to my bedroom to change. I had four hours of freedom until I had to go into that hellhole again.

Sabrina would throw a party every two weeks. I was aware of that, of course, since I was invited every time. All students would go, even if they weren't asked to. She owned her own house/mansion that her parents bought, so she could blast music.

A knock on the door disrupts my thoughts.

"Hello?" Eve's voice was muffled from the other side. "Is anyon-"

I rubbed a hand over my face in fatigue and swung the door open. Eve screamed and the knife she was holding dropped to the floor.

I slapped my hands over my ears. "Jesus. What was that for, woman? You broke my ear drums."
