Maidens' Rumors

The castle had been quiet, it had almost been too quiet, something had just felt slightly off to you. It hadn't been anything to do with Alcina, and the girls had been acting perfectly normal. Maybe it was Astrid, you thought to yourself, she'd been quieter lately, less chatty... Almost withdrawn. But surely it couldn't be anything super drastic... Could it?

You decide it's best to just go and talk to Astrid and sort it out rather than over think the whole thing. So, you go find her after breakfast while she was washing the dishes.

Oh, hey y/n- she said as she heard you walk into the kitchen

You both make it to the door and go right inside, causing Alcina to turn around from surprise from her work

Alci, Astrid just told me that the maidens have apparently been spreading some really nasty rumors around amongst themselves- you tell her, a bit out of breath from rushing

What? What kinds of things are they saying, I need to get the full details of this because I will not have any of it- she tells Astrid

I'm not sure I should repeat all of the words that they used, but there were quite a bit of homophobic slurs that were said-Astrid told her with a look of disgust

Oh absolutely not, not in my castle, y/n will you go grab the girls and tell them to go pack for the weekend, I'm going to have my mother take them for the weekend. There's going to be some changes around here- she told you both before picking up the phone to dial her mother

You and Astrid go to grab the girls, and you can't help but to feel a bit nervous as you had never met Alcinas mother before, so naturally you were a bit jittery.

Within half an hour, the girls were packed and ready at the door when a thunderous knock came from the door, the girls excitedly opening it to hug their grandma, almost knocking her off her feet. Alcina also walks over to hug her mother, bending down to reach properly, she then turned to you with an outstretched hand.

Oh, y/n I've been so excited to finally meet you, alcina has told me so much, I'm Miranda by the way- she said warmly

Mother- Alcina said rolling her eyes

Relax alcina, let loose a bit- Miranda told her laughing

Hi, it's nice to finally meet you as well, Miranda- you tell her, shaking her hand

Alright girls, we should get going, your mother has some important business to attend to, and I have all the stuff to make cookies when we get there. - Miranda told the girls, and at that they practically dragged her out the door.
