Roots PT. 2

                           Y/N's POV

You woke up with a foggy mind and a dry throat. You stepped onto the floor, not completely steady and walked into the hotel bathroom to splash your face and get a drink. To your surprise, Alcina was already in there getting ready for the day, apparently it was later than you thought.

Ughhh..... What happened last night? - you asked alcina hoping for some sort of explanation.

Well, you went to Brooklyn's house and took about 3 hits of some extremely potent weed before anyone could tell you otherwise, then I brought you back here and you slept for.... 14 hours- she told you

Holy shit, I haven't gotten high in so long I think it messed with me somehow- You tell her rubbing your eyes

Oh, you think, you have a legit problem y/n- she told you, sounding a little mad

Okay well yes I have a history with stuff like that, but growing up and in my early 20's that was my outlet way to cope with reality, for years that was my only release from the stress- you explained to her

Holy shit, your past is worse than I thought it was, bad enough for you to need an outlet like that, I completely understand now- Alcina said after a moment

You both started getting ready for the day and started figuring out what you were going to do that day, Brooklyn was busy today so that wasn't an option. Nonetheless you both got put together enough to go do something.

Hey, there's a really cool mall that's not too far from here, we could go there for a couple hours and grab lunch, we can figure out the rest from there. - you tell her while scrolling through your phone for ideas

Sure, babe that sounds fine, I just don't want to sit in the hotel room all day- she replied as she put on her mascara

You two set out to drive to the mall that was about 20 minutes away, which neither of you minded, you'd been going to this mall since you were a teenager, you had so many memories of you and your friends staying at the mall until it closed and hitting up parties until sunrise the next day, those were good times, though they were years ago.

You both arrived at the mall and began walking through the walkways, you spotted a hot topic and drug alcina inside with you, Bring Me The Horizon was playing on the speakers and everything was just as great as you remembered it. You walked over to the T-shirt wall and began sifting through the options while Alcina walked around and took it all in.

You had picked out a couple of shirts when alcina called you over to where she was and pointed to the piercing carousel and looked through them with you.

That neon green one is cute, what's it for? - Alcina asked pointing at a septum ring

Oh, that one's for septum piercings, like the one I have here- you told her while tugging on your nose a bit

We should get you some, your always wearing the same ones- she told you looking through the others

You ended up getting three shirts and a few different septum rings and belly button rings, alcina also got a set of earrings and a necklace from there. As you both walked further through the mall you spotted a Spencer's ahead, you almost debated not going in, but decided to just try to keep Alcina away from the back.

You were looking at the gauges for ears and the other jewelry that was there, Alcina had inevitably wandered into the back but returned soon after she deemed everything not suitable to her tastes. Both of you wandered around together awhile longer, Alcina questioning the design choices of almost everything in the store.

What in the world is this? - She said picking up a hentai T-shirt

Pop culture, babe- you told her giggling

This is why I'm glad the girls are homeschooled- Alcina told you

You ended up getting a couple of band shirts and a baphomet mug as well as a candle while Alcina got a candle and a shirt, thankfully they had her size, as well as some small things for the girls as souvenirs from your trip.

Both of you walked back out to the rental car to try to make sense of the rest of your day. You decided to go to another small cafe for lunch and then go take a walk through one of your favorite trails from when you were younger, after that you'd go to one of the local restaurants for dinner.

The cafe was surprisingly good despite there not being many customers, they had really great soup, salads and sandwiches. Alcina also seemed pleased, which was always a good sign as she had a very refined palette and didn't eat what you considered fast food often, if at all.

What are you thinking for dessert, dear? - Alcina asked after finishing the last of her food

I'm not sure, but these dessert cookies look delicious, and they come drizzled with chocolate and sprinkles on top- You tell her, looking at the menu

Let's just get one and split it, that's a lot of sugar- She tells you after looking at the ingredients

Sounds fine to me- You reply

You finish your extremely sweet cookie and set off toward the trail you told Alcina about, you drove this time though as it was a bit confusing to get to.  Once you get there though it's fairly open and peaceful, just as you'd remembered it, as you began walking, Alcina was following close behind.

ALCINA'S POV

Y/N was a surprisingly fast walker, you almost fell behind her, but not quite.

You were glad that you'd brought some blood pills with you, though y/n probably wouldn't mind you feeding from her, you still felt bad about it in some way. You'd fed from her occasionally,  more often during the winter as fresh blood was more scarce, she seemed fine with it, barely making a sound when you did.

Either way, a bruise on her neck probably wouldn't be the most appealing thing to be on display when not back at the village.

You both let your minds wander as you walked along the trail, taking in the serenity of the nature around you as you did so. You finally finished a loop and made it back to the car. You climbed into the passenger seat as y/n started the car.

You decided to go to a nearby Italian restaurant and both are your meal rather quietly, being tired from your walk. You both decide to just go back to the hotel to try and get some sleep before your flight home in the morning.

You both get into the room and practically collapsed onto the bed, exhausted. Before long, you both drifted off to sleep, loosely entangled in each other's embrace.
