The New Maiden

Y/N's POV

You woke up to the sound of the alarm clock, Alcina having already gotten up to shower ahead of time was just stepping out of the bathroom to get dressed just as you rolled to the foot of the bed still rubbing your eyes. You look up at Alcina smiling at you in a towel as you groan,accidentally bumping your fresh piercing before stepping off the bed, you were never a morning person but you're slowly getting used to it. Dragging yourself into the bathroom to shower as you continue to yawn, you make sure to put some sort of music on to keep you awake. Alcina is already dressed by the time you get out so you hurry and blowdry your hair before picking out some clothes for yourself. Deciding on ripped jeans, a band t-shirt that you had cut into a muscle top, as well as some jewelry and simple shimmery makeup with black eyeliner all around your eye as well as mascara. After putting on some combat boots, you walk downstairs with Alcina to meet the girls for breakfast.

During breakfast, you tell Astrid to give the new maiden a heads up about the meeting so she could finish what she was doing. The rest of breakfast was relatively quiet aside from the girls having questions about the new maiden that you couldn't even answer since neither you or Alcina even knew her name. You could tell the girls were excited about a new maiden since there's not a lot of new faces around the castle that often. After you were done eating, you followed Alcina into the meeting room to talk over the questions beforehand.

Okay so just like basic job questions?- You ask her.

Essentially yes, but since she'll be living here there is a few other questions regarding health history and such.-She tells you.

Ahhh, that makes sense.- You replied.

I just hope there won't be any more issues with maidens after the last one left.- She sighs, pulling out a folder.

Yeah, I'm sure we won't have issues though, she seemed super nervous yesterday.- You tell her as you look over the paperwork.

A few more minutes ago by before Astrid walks into the door, the new maiden trailing behind her, still looking nervous as she sits in the chair across from you and Alcina.

Don't go too far Astrid, you can give her a proper tour as soon as we're done here.-You tell her as she walks out, giving you a nod before closing the door behind her.

Alright, so let's start off with the basics. Your name and a little bit about you before we start on the rules.- Alcina tells her.

Well, I'm Sage... and I just moved out of my parents house and I figured that this would be a good option for me since i'll be staying here.-She says.

Okay, there have been other maidens that have done that same thing, you do have the option to only work during the week though and spend weekends elsewhere if you'd like, but that's completely up to you.- Alcina adds.

As far as rules go, it's pretty relaxed besides common courtesy and let one of us know beforehand if your wanting to go into the village, just so we know where everyone is at.- You explain to her.

That won't be a problem.-She responds.

Is there any allergies or specific medical conditions that we need to be aware of as a precaution?-Alcina asked her.

Nope, nothing at all.-She responds, fidgeting with her hands in the process.

As far as work tasks go, they're all fairly easy. Just basic cooking, cleaning, stuff like that.- You told her, skimming through the paperwork.
