{•°2 MONTHS LATER°•}
Eddie let out a frustrated grunt, kicking his precious Impalas blown tire, eyes staring at it angrily.
Alex sighed, a hand resting on his hip as he watched his brother continue to curse every profanity he knew as he kicked at the tire.
"I don't think that's going to help" he said, Eddie looked up with a nasty glare that made Alex quickly shut his mouth, "I'm aware" Eddie growled out, Alex held his hands up in surrender.
Grabbing his duffle bag and guitar, he handed Alex his bookbag, "I'll get you some new tires, I swear" he whispered to his Impala, placing a kiss on the hood before turning to Alex, grabbing his hand and lacing their fingers as he led him towards the woods.
"We'll find shelter for tonight and look for new tires in the morning" he said, Alex nodded, they both watched their feet for branches while also looking behind them occasionally for any bitters.
{•°AN HOUR LATER°•}
"Look" Eddie said, poking Alex's arm and pointing towards a cabin, "it looks perfect!" He said, Eddie nodded, they both quietly opened the door, looking for any bitters before entering, putting away their knives and heading to the living room, where they rolled out their sleeping bags.
"I'll secure the doors" Eddie said, Alex nodded and layed down, cuddling into his sleeping bag while watching as Eddie tied a string with cans hanging from it to the door.
Though, when he looked up and found two little blue eyes watching him from the cabinets he couldn't help but to let out a small scream, Eddie had quickly turned to him, his knife in hands.
"What's wrong??" He asked in confusion, Alex pointed to the cabinet, "I-I saw s-someone" he said, voice cracking at the end, Eddie gave him a confused look before looking at where he had pointed to and slowly walked over.
Knocking on it, they both jumped when they heard shuffling, Eddie tipped his head at the sound of a frightened gasp, slowly opening the cabinet and looking inside.
There he found a little girl a little younger than Alex, she was small and skinny with chin length dirty blonde hair and a blue shirt, she held a doll close to her chest and stared at him with wide fear filled eyes.
"H-hey, what are you doing here?" He asked, the little girl looked down "the monsters chased me away from my momma and group, so I hid here" she whispered, Eddie nodded slowly, "well why don't you come out, you can take my sleeping bag" he said, the little girl looked at him with surprise, "really?" She asked, Eddie nodded.
"I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I let a little girl freeze to death," he said, backing away and helping her out.
"My name is Eddie, that's my kid brother Alex" he said, Alex waving from where he laid, the little girl gave a small wave back.
"My name's Sophia" she said, Eddie grinned, ruffling her hair before letting her lay in his sleeping bag, "I'll take watch, in the morning we'll find your group" he said, the 2 children nodded before tiredly dozing off.
Eddie sat by the window, watching the woods with tired but sharp eyes.
{•° NEXT MORNING°•}
The next day, Eddie had done as said, him and Alex helping Sophia search for her lost mother and group, spending a full 2 hours trying to find them when they had run into a little trouble that led to them losing Sophia's doll.
Though they had ended up back at the cabin, Eddie couldn't help but to feel as if someone else had been there but decided to ignore it, instead he turned to the 2 children, holding up marshmallows and a box of uno cards.
"Uno?" He asked, they both quickly nodded, sitting next to him on the floor, watching in awe as he shuffled the cards expertly before passing out 7 cards each
There they spent 3 hours playing 6 rounds of Uno, Eddie letting out a whoop of victory as he won, though he did secretly let Alex and Sophia win, just so he could see them smile with pride.

Now I will warn you in the next chapter Eddie does get beaten, I'm sorry but it's necessary 😭
