That morning Eddie found himself sitting on Daryl's lap, peppering his face with kisses.
"You have such pretty eyes" Daryl said, looking at him with love and adoration, Eddie felt his heart melt inside his chest, "you're the one with beautiful eyes" he said, staring into Daryl's Georgia blue eyes.
The male smiled, softly brushing one of Eddie's long curls away from his face and tucking it behind his ear.
"You need a haircut" he whispered into Eddie's ear, the male groaned and shook his head, "no, I'll never cut my curls off" he said, Daryl sighed.
"How about you at least let Carol trim your bangs out of your eyes?" He asked, Eddie looked down in thought before nodding.
"Hey Eddie, me and Maggie are gonna go on a run to look for more ammo and formula, you coming?" Glenn asked, peeking his head through his cell door.
"Yeah, just give me a moment" he said, Glenn nodded and walked away leaving the two lovers to carry on in their little moment.
Eddie leaned in, softly bringing Daryl into a soft kiss, Daryl hummed, wrapping his arms around Eddie's waist as he held him close, basking in the long haired male's warmth.
"Be careful out there" he whispered, Eddie nodded, running his hand gently through Daryl's hair before getting up, laying a kiss on the corner of Daryl's mouth.
Going down the stairs, he ruffled Carl's hair, pulling Sophia into a hug and kissing Alex's forehead.
"Be good for Carol" he ordered, they nodded, saluting him, he saluted them back, exiting with Glenn and Maggie and following them to a car.

Glenn, Maggie and Eddie had pulled up to an abandoned store, the ground was littered in trash.
"It's a beautiful day" Maggie said as they got out of the van, Glenn pulling her into a loving kiss.
"Hm, hm" Eddie hummed, looking away with a grin, "hey, I let you and Daryl make out before we left, so the least you could do is let me kiss my girlfriend" Glenn grumbled out.
Punching his shoulder playfully as he passed by him, Eddie grabbed the heavy bolt cutters from the van and cut the chains on the store doors.
When he had opened the door he, Glenn and Maggie jumped in fright as birds flew out, Glenn grabbed a flashlight and entered.
"Glenn, get that duck" Meggie said, Eddie grinned, "what?" Glenn asked, "get that duck" Maggie repeated.
"Are you serious?" He asked, "yeah, a kid growing up in a prison could use some toys" she said, Eddie nodded, "she has a point" he said looking around.
"Bingo!" He said, Maggie and Glenn looked over to him as he held up what he found, "what is it?" Glenn asked, Eddie sighed, "it's a hunting knife for Daryl" he said, checking on how sharp it was, "his is getting old, rusted and dull" he added.
Glenn and Maggie giggled, both quickly checking around the store for what they needed.
"We just hit the powder formula jackpot" Glenn said, high-fiving Eddie, Maggie rolled her eyes but commented with a small "oh thank God."
