Eddie was enthusiastic when he had found a shit tone of fireworks and even more enthusiastic about forth of July this year.
For him, this was going to be rare time for him to actually enjoy this time with the family he had made.
The only person he ever got to enjoy this time with was his brother, his parents couldn't care less to call a day off from work.
But now, Eddie had Daryl and the rest of the group.
When Eddie had carried over the large and small fireworks they all jumped up, looking at him in shock.
"It's the forth of July, we are DEFINITELY lighting these bitches up" he said, Daryl chuckled, wrapped a arm around his waist and kissing his forehead.
"We can fire the gig ones at the walker's, the kids can play with the little ones" Rick said, Eddie nodded in agreement.
"Yo, this gonna be fucking amazing" T-dog said, him, Eddie and Glenn fist bumping.
"Alright, let's set everything up" Rick said, they nodded, quickly grabbing fireworks and setting them up around the prison.
By time night came they had set up the big fireworks where the walker's usually gathered, Eddie was confident that it would blow the walker's heads off before flying up.
Though first they let the kids play around and shoot small fireworks, Eddie helped Alex light some, clapping a hand on his back as they watched it fly up into the sky before bursting with silent green light.
Soon after they had used all the small fireworks they had gathered around where the gig ones were.
"Y'all ready for this?" Daryl asked, everyone gathered around, Rick held Carl's hand who held Judith in one arm, Carol held Sophia's hand, Hershel held Beth's hand, Maggie held Glenn's hand, T-dog stood alone yet close to Glenn and Eddie held Alex's hand, using his free hand to grab Daryl's after he lit the fireworks.
Standing together, they watched as they fireworks shot through a couple walker's heads and into the sky, loud bangs rang out and different colors flashed through the sky, red, green, blue, purple and yellow.
"They're beautiful..." Eddie whispered, resting his head on Daryl's chest, "not as beautiful as you" Daryl whispered, Eddie looked up at him, a small small crossing over his lips.
"Hey uh...Alex, you and Sophia stay with Carol" Eddie whispered to Alex, giving him a small wink before grabbing Daryl's hand, leading him into the prison and towards his cell.
Alex made a disgusted face as he watched him leave, "what's wrong?" Sophia asked, Alex shook his head, "nothing" he said.
