Part three: Getting to know the rose xiao-longs

Kahn's Pov

    I had been here for two days now. I got to know the parents of Ruby and Yang abit. Currently I am out hunting with Mr Xiao Long. I'm flying above the forest they live beside to get a better look. After a little while I see a large buck going about on its own. I  dive down at it quickly, grab it by its head and then send a strong enough bolt of electricity through it to stop all of its bodily functions quickly and painlessly killing it.

    I pick it up and hang it over my left shoulder. I shoot Mr. Xiao Long a message via my scroll to tell him that I caught a buck. He messages me back asking how I some how found a single lien in the woods and that I should probably dig to try and find more.

    I look up through the foliage of the trees to see that I had no idea what time it was since the trees obscured the sun. I send Ruby a message asking her to fire off a round from crescent rose so that I can figure out the way back to the cabin since I had no idea where I was.

*BANG*

    I turn to the direction that I heard it from and I send one more message to Ruby saying thanks and that I'll get her some cookies later. As I make my way out of the woods I see Mr. Xiao Long.

Kahn: Mr.Xiao Long I caught supper by the way I'm keeping all the bones.

Tai: Kid I've told you just call me Tai. Also why do you want the bones?

    I break off one of the buck's antlers and then take a bite out it and straight up eat it before I respond.

Kahn: Nice thing about being a dragon is that it is genuinely healthy for me to eat bones. Plus I just like the taste of bone marrow. Other nice thing about being a dragon is that I don't actually have to eat cooked meat, while I do like the taste of it more I can straight up survive off of eating it raw and bloody.

Tai: Geez kid, I'm tibia honest that sounds like a really handy trait you have there.

    He looks at me with a smirk after saying that and I just shrug. He frowns a little. We just exit the tree line and are coming to the cabin now as he says something.

Tai: Cmon kid throw be a bone I'm trying to be humorous.

    I brake off a tiny bit off of the antler I'm eating and throw it at him. He looks at me surprised and catches it and I look at him and smirk.

Kahn: There you go but it is the only bone from this buck I'm giving you.

Tai: You're messing with me aren't you.

Kahn: Yes, yes I am and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Kahn's Pov

    I had been spending my time here either sparring with Ruby, Yang or Mr.Xiao Long and to be honest I'm really impressed with Ruby's learning speed in fighting me. Heck she seems to he a prodigy at it. Yang's style is rough in so many was but she does make up for some of it with how aggressive she is but she still leaves alot to be desired if she is going to put up a good fight against me. Mr.Xiao Long being a veteran huntsman and a teacher at signal puts me through some serious loops when I spar with him. His fighting style and mine are fairly similar but at the same time just different enough that I'm finding some flaws in my own style that I need to improve on. He also gives good advice on ways that I could improve which is just what I needed as I felt like I had hit a dead-end on how to improve it.

    I'm currently sitting and watching TV with the Rose Xiao Long family. I really don't tend to watch TV but I am right now because we are currently watching a Vacuo documentary on its history, culture and their relationships with two kinds of dragons that live there. I already knew about the Jade scales from Sun but actually seeing one on the TV leaves because they actually don't have legs and instead have a really long tail. Ruby who is sitting beside me ends up falling asleep and unknowingly uses me shoulder as a pillow. Despite the fact that my head isn't near her chest I can still hear her heart beat because of how close she is. The slow beats of it are starting to effect me as it reminds me of when I was still really young and when I was sick and unable to sleep my mother would lay close enough down next to me for me to hear her steady heartbeat which would help me fall asleep.
