"-Damn, I completely forgot I was supposed to help them with their assignment today!"

Douma and I and open the door to Akaza

"-Akaza-dono!"

"-Hello, Akaza."

"-Good night. Please tell me, Y/n, why didn't you come right after Douma finished his task? Muzan-sama is already waiting for you to go on a mission."

"-I'm sorry, Akaza, I completely forgot. The thing is, when Douma finished his assignment, it was almost dawn and we hurried to the temple because it was close by."

"-Huh, I see. But by the way, why do you smell so strongly of each other?"

I was already hesitating about what to say to make it sound like the truth, but then Douma beat me to it

"-Akaza-dono, It's because when we came here and I finished my work at the temple, Y/n and I were cuddling and reading a book because Y/n-chan got bored!" He said with his usual smile

Well, it wasn't the best lie, but it was at least better than what I was going to say.

"-I see. Well, then Y/n, let's go to the mission with Lord before he gets mad."

Akaza and I were walking in a hurry through the forest, getting closer and closer to the place where Muzan was supposed to be waiting for us.
All of sudden Akaza broke the silence and asked me

"-Y/n, why you two did lie to me?"

"-Eh... uhm... what makes you think this way?"

"-I heard..."

My heart quickly began to race.
"-He heard ? Did he hear everything?"

"-...that there were no sounds of reading, and by the way bed was not crushed even a bit. So it was quite easy to guess."

I let out a sigh of relief, trying to hide it.

(Y/n's POV:)

"-By the way, what will I be helping you with, Akaza?" said I casually

"-Y/n, you're going to turn into a child, to go with Muzan-sama to visit a man who has a lot of valuable information about the blue spider lily."

"-You have to become a child because Lord said that people with children are usually more trusted. And while you will be sitting around talking, I have to go to this man's room and get the reference books for all the years of the company's history, and then be outside waiting for you on one of the rooftops of the nearby houses."

(No one's POV:)

After couple minutes, you and Akaza reached Muzan, who was already waiting for you on the outskirts of the town, and you set out to carry out his plan.

"-Good evening."

"-Good evening, mr Fujioka! How nice to see you! And who is this here, your little daughter? How cute she is! Yes, sweetie? Please come inside."

Then you did everything as Muzan had planned.
You sat in the living room, drinking tea and talking to the man, trying to find out as much as you could about the blue spider lily through conversation with him. After a while, you and Muzan felt that Akaza's presence in the house had disappeared, and you after saying goodbye to the man, left.

You reached Akaza, who was already waiting for you on one of the roofs of a nearby house. When he saw Muzan and you, Akaza bowed

"-Muzan-sama, here are all the reference books I could find in his room."

Muzan picked up a large stack of reference books and began to leaf through them.

"-Well, it looks like I'm going to have a lot of work today. Now I'm going to go to the mansion where I am a 'sick adopted boy' and check this information there. Akaza, you're with Y/n. "

Muzan went one way, you and Akaza jumped off the rooftops and went the other. You decided to take a short walk in the mountain forest (yes, I forgot to say it was in the mountains!) before returning to the endless castle.
