"Let me try," Enid spoke as she walked past Tyler but before she could even reach for the door it was ripped almost off its hinges, receiving a terrified yell from Enid before she saw Y/n standing smiling at her reaction. "Oh thank god you are here..." She quickly hugged the tall Hybrid. "Now I feel better!"

"Y/n, what are you doing here?" Tyler asked as he stared at the newcomer who simply stood there with the blond wrapped around him.

"Enid, listen to me..." Y/n smiled as he rubbed circles on her back, trying to calm her down. "Let's help Wednesday with this and then you can go back to an even more safer dorm room." He reassured the werewolf who had finally let go of him but still held on to his suit's sleeve.

Wednesday had yet to say anything as she walked past the two and into the house with Tyler not far behind her and the Y/n and Enid as they ventured through the house. Soon reaching a flight of stairs. "Let's split up here, Enid and I will go upstairs and you boys search down here," Wednesday explained as she pulled the werewolf away from Y/n and up the stairs.

"So, why are you hear?" Tyler asked once more now that they were alone.

"Thing warned me that Wednesday was going here so I was listening in for her and Enid," Y/n explained as he inspected the photos on the wall.

"So you just use your hearing to listen to them whenever you want?" Tyler asked almost sarcastically as he trailed behind the Hybrid. "Seems creepy."

"Not whenever I want, whenever I must..." Y/n corrected the barista as they searched room to room.

"What's that?" Tyler spoke and walked off before Y/n could respond.

Suddenly there was a scream before a roar was heard and a familiar creature broke through the door frame, hitting Y/n across the room and into a set of cupboards. Y/n heard the girls scream from upstairs as he stood up. "DO NOT COME DOWN STAIS!!!" He yelled as he watched the creature jump at him once more, this time he was prepared and instead of being attacked he sidestepped the beast and used its momentum to hurl it across the room this time.

The creature stood up and roared at Y/n but before it could react, Y/n appeared in front of it in the blink of an eye and pinned it against the wall before driving his hand into the chest of the creature once more and tried to grab its heart but that was interrupted when the creature ripped its claws through Y/n's chest before a sizzling noise was heard and Y/n let go of it as a burning pain shot through his entire body, steam coming off the giant claw marks.

As the monster tried to attack Y/n once more, Y/n gave it a backhand as he drove his knuckles into the creature's ribs, feeling a few break as the monster was once again launched across the room. Y/n looked down at the blood gushing out of his wounds that refused to heal as they continued to sizzle as Vervain burned him. The monster stood up and grabbed its ribs before turning and running off once more. Y/n tried to run after it but the pain was unbearable.

Y/n fought with all his strength to make it out of the building where he could hear Enid's panic. "Y/N!" She yelled as he watched her let go of Tyler, leaving Wednesday to hold the injured boy up while she ran over to him. "I told you Wednesday, Y/n needed us!" Enid continued to yell as she grabbed the Hybrid. "What's wrong, why aren't you healing?"

"The creature had Vervain on its claws..." Y/n found it hard to talk as he tried not to lean on the small werewolf too much and yet she was more than strong enough to hold his weight while Wednesday struggled her side. "And Nevermore has a very strict Vampire meal, synthetic blood so my healing factor is not able to heal from the vervain..." He tried to explain as they approached the car.
