"So therefore x equal -1 and y equal 0," my math teacher solved the equation on the board. I wasn't really paying that much attention. I was lost in my thoughts, every since I had that dream the other day, I never really got myself back, it was like something was missing and I can't put my finger in it.

It's was the second week after school resumed and a week after what happened the other day. Vivian was very angry when I told her what happened the next day at school, she was ready to take care of Esther whatever that meant in her dictionary, but I'd manage to stop her before I could find out though. Since that would have only made matters worse for me though she still give Esther the stink eye, glaring daggers at her whenever our paths crossed. I have also gone out of my way to avoid Noso like completely, I make sure our path doesn't cross, I also notice that he's telling to communicate with me whenever our eyes meet in corridor, I just turn around and go the opposite direction.

"Are you not taking down the assignment,? I heard my seatmate Ugo say pulling me out of my thoughts. I didn't even realize my math teacher already left.

"Oh, yes I am, thanks," I responded as I started putting down what was written in the board on my note.

It was Break period now and I was on my way to Vivian class, when someone stepped in front of me stopping me on my track and it was Chinoso. How come I did not see him, where did he come from? I wondered.

"Finally, I've managed to get you before you avoid me again," he started proudly.

"See Noso I don't have time for anything that concern you, just let me pass," I said walking around him.

"Wait first," he said stepping in front of me again.

"Oga what do you want"? I all but scream annoyed, I don't care if students were waking about and now looking at us.

"Ahh calm down now, I sha want to hmm..mm a..apo.. apologize about the other day, I shouldn't have pushed you, I went to far I..I'm so.. sorry," he apologize sounding unsure. I looked at him for a while without saying anything.

"Are you apologizing for the sake of it, because you sounded so unsure"? I ask purposefully. To say I'm shocked is an understatement, Noso apologizing to me was a big deal, all he every did was tease and picked on me as much as he could.

"I'm sorry really," he said more firmly this time.

"Okay, thanks for apologizing" Can I go now"? I asked walking away without waiting for his answer.

"Does that mean you forgive me and can we be friends now," he asked falling in line with me.

What no, I said okay to you apologizing nor mean say I forgive you, and we are not friends not now, not ever," I stated with frown. Does he think one apology is going to make everything okay, he can keep dreaming.

Nawaoo, okay I know that I have never tried being nice to you in the past...," He started saying when I gave him an "are you serious look,"

"Okay, okay up until now and I realized my mistakes now, I know it not a good enough excuse, but the past few days seeing you avoid me like I had the plague or was some contagious disease didn't make me feel good about myself," he explained his voice small. I stop walking to search his face, see if he was lying but it didn't seem like he was. He must really be feeling bad, serves him right.
