Visa days: 8.
I feel tears forming in my eyes. Usually I would've hold the tough mask up and make everyone around me think that I don't have feelings, but when my eyes meet Yasu's brown ones everyone else disappears.
I walk towards him while he's running towards me. He embraces me in the longest and best hug ever. I collapse in his arms and if it weren't for him I would've fallen to the ground.
The tears start streaming down my face and I realize now that I've missed him. I've missed him more than I thought was possible. "I've missed you" I sob into his shoulder.
"I've missed you too" he whispers back. He lets go off me and looks into my eyes. "You've changed" he says with a proud smile. "This world forced me too" I say back. "But your nose haven't changed at all" he laughs. "Shut up!" I say and hit him.
I can't stop smiling. I've just missed him so much. And finally he's here. I have my brother back. "Have this been hell for you too?" He asks me. "Yes, but it won't be as much hell now" I say back.
I'm not sure if I actually think this world is hell, but I can't say that. I would've sounded like a psychopath.
He smiles at me, but not a happy smile, more of an sympathetic smile. He opens his mouth to say something, but just then a young boy approaches us. "What is this? Where's everyone?" He asks with a fragile voice.
Yasu begin to explain everything. He know a lot about this world so he isn't new. I'm guessing he has played more games than me.
While Yasu explain every detail and answers all his questions, I watch. Yasu has always been the talkative among us. He has talked to everyone while I was standing in the background. That's the way I like it and I'm pretty sure he likes it as well.
The young boy seems to understand and walks away. He has tears in his eyes and he sniffs a lot so I understand that he isn't liking the news. I lean against the wall and Yasu is standing beside me. I look at him. I try to understand what type of player he is.
He is athletic. He's quite tall and muscular, so physical games isn't a problem. He is also good with other people and he is very cooperative so club games isn't bad either. But because he is so cooperative and trusting heart games can't be his strength. He isn't super smart either and he acts before he thinks so a high difficulty Diamond game must be hard for him.
Sometimes I wonder why we get so well along because we are completely different. We're almost opposites.
Registration is closed. Game will now commence.
I watch the other players reactions. Some get nervous or scared, others look calm. Yasu is somewhere in the middle. He doesn't look nervous more serious.
Game: Splash. Players: 12. Difficulty: Five of clubs.
A clubs game with my brother. Can't be too bad.
Rules: Push all the three buttons that are hidden randomly in the waterpark. You'll have twenty minutes to fulfill this. Be careful, there's acid falling from the bucket above the waterpark, canons that shoot cannonballs and in the water there is dangerous water-creatures. Good luck!
(Small a/n: all creds to fleurdel1s on TikTok for this game idea!)
I look at Yasu. We can easily communicate with just eye contact and I know by his look that we will stay together no matter what.
"We'll split up into groups and each group will search a different area of the park!" I hear a man shout. I turn to the voice and I can see a man in a red robe, swim shorts and black sunglasses. Well, he is prepared for the game.
He starts to split people into groups and luckily me and Yasu are in the same group. It's us and two other girls. They're definitely friends and they're useless.
Me, Yasu and the girls walk to the area with a play castle thing. Over the castle there's a big bucket. I guess it's there the acid is coming from. I can see a yellow button in the middle of the castle. So now we only have to push it.
While we're walking I count how long it's between each time it falls. I believe that it's thirty seconds. "Thirty seconds between it drops" I whisper to Yasu. He nods. "How are we going to do this?" One of the girls ask when we reach the pool. "Someone has to swim over there and push the button" Yasu answers.
I look at him from the corner of my eye and he does the same. This little action tells me that the person who'll swim there won't be any of us.
"Hey! Can't any of you swim over there and push the button?" Yasu asks. He starts to fix his bun while he says it. And I understand exactly what he's doing. I understood that the girls found him attractive and woman always love when a man fixes his bun. It's pathetic, but it looks like it works.
"But what about her?" One of the girls asks and points to me. "I have a huge cut on my abdomen. It'll reopen if I go into the water. It can kill me" I explain. What I'm saying isn't true of course, but the girls are meatheads so they don't understand that.
I see that this isn't enough to make them do it, so I start my little act. I start to sob and between my sniffs I tell them that my boyfriend betrayed me and tried to kill me.
"But aren't you her boyfriend?" Asks the other girl. "No, I'm her brother" Yasu tells them. I even manage to shed some tears. The girls looks at me with sympathy when one of them says that they can go.
She looks quite fit so she can make it. She takes off her hoodie and jumps into the water. She swims good and actually pretty fast. Suddenly she screams and I can see blood coming from her foot.
"It's sharks here!" She screams. She starts to swim faster but more chaotic. And with the "perfect" timing the bucket drops. She screams when the acid hits her. I can slightly see that her body gets melted and all that's left is slimy, bloody limp.
"No!" The other girl screams. She falls to the ground and starts to hysterically cry. Me and Yasu exchange a look and I know what I have to do. I roll my eyes at the thought.
I crouch down in front of her and put my hand on her shoulder. "Hey! I know it hurts. It should hurt and you will get to mourn, but right now we're in a game. And I know that the only wish your friend would've had is that you should clear it and live on. So please swim out there and push the button. For her, show her that you can do it!" I tell her with a reassuring voice.
She look at me and dries away her tears. She gives me a slight nod before she stands up. I can't help but smirk. She gets ready to jump into the water but Yasu stops her. "Wait! It'll drop soon!" He says.
And then the bucket drops. When the bucket has dropped the girl jumps into the water. She swims fast and determined. She gets bitten in her calf by a shark but she ignores it and continues to swim. I guess my pep talk worked very well.
She climbs into the castle. "Shall I push if now?" She shouts to us. "Wait!" I answer. Another man comes running to us. "Have you pushed the button yet?" The man asks. "No, she'll do it now" I answer. "Push it!" Yasu shouts to the girl. And she does.
Game cleared.
The robot voice tells us. The girl swims back and me and Yasu immediately head for the card. When I reach the table I pick up the card. "Can I have that?" I hear a voice behind me. It must be the red robe man. I turn around and I see that I'm right.
"Sure" I shrug and give him the card. What am I supposed to do with it anyway? I turn to Yasu and together we head home.
