Song: detention-melanie martinez

Visa days: 12

I look at the seconds getting fewer and fewer. What will happen when the timer runs out? Will Yasu be okay?

This is the first time I've felt anxious about a game. Probably because someone I love is playing with me or maybe against me. I know that I can't kill him, so I might lose my life today.

The beep form the timer drags me out of my thoughts.

Registration closed. Game will now commence. Game: detention. Players: 16. Difficulty: Six of hearts.

Hearts? Six of hearts? Betrayal. Manipulating. Killing, is the words that float through my mind. Kill Yasu? No. Manipulate Yasu? No. Betray Yasu? Never. I can't hurt Yasu.

Rules: You are in the detention. Sneak out of the building without getting killed by teachers. You'll have 20 minutes to do this. There's more than one exit. Good luck!

I hear a buzzing noise from my door and I'm assuming that it means that the door is unlocked. I quickly go to the door and open it. My heart is beating faster than ever. How will I know who the teachers are before it's too late?

I hear a noise from the opposite door and luckily Yasu comes out. He smiles at me and I smile back. I don't dare to say anything. What if the teachers hear me? Luckily Yasu understands.

He takes out something from his backpack and I can see that it's a gun. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. "For self-defense" he whispers before giving me a knife as well. I guess that it's a good idea so I accept the knife.

We slowly start walking through the hallways. Yasu is holding up the gun ready to shoot at any moment. What does the teachers look like?

Suddenly I hear a noise from the left. I turn around and there two people are standing. Yasu shoots them immediately. Why did he shoot them? Are they teachers? To me they looked like normal players. They looked frightened, terrified. Teachers doesn't look like that.

"Yasu!" I whisper-scream. "What?" He asks seriously confused. "Are you sure they were teachers?" I ask. "No but if they weren't they will not come in our way now" he answers.

My face drops even more in disappointment. He can't seriously mean that? That we can kill anyone we want because they might be in our way later?

He turns around and continues to walk down the hallway. I can't stop myself from glancing back at the two dead men behind us before following Yasu. They don't look like teachers to me, not at all actually. They looked scared and not like I would assume a teacher looking like.

Also why is this a hearts game? Shouldn't this be a spade or diamond game? I don't get it. Something is very wrong and I have to figure it out very soon.

That's when the realization hit me.

I stop in my tracks, ready to sprint the same direction we just came from. Yasu turns to me and raises an eyebrow. "I think I know how to get out. Wait right here!" The last sentence I shout because I've already started running.

I sprint back the hallways we just came from. I run back to the hallways where the classrooms were and I stop in front of the classroom I was in. I can't stop staring at what the sign over the door says now. It confirms my theory.

Teachers lounge.

That's what the sign says. And that's why this is a hearts game. We're supposed to kill each other. There are no teachers, the players are supposed to think that other players are teachers. A voice suddenly interrupts my thoughts.
