The Clouds

When questions cloud your mind

And your past comes and haunts you

You're afraid to look behind

For memories are a cruel company

They might make you laugh hard

And make you feel like a retard

When you realize what a fool you were

Trusting people who looked kind.

An obligation can haunt you to death

When you look back at the deals you made

Your own words will come back and stab you

All the kindness seen will vanish

Humanity will rot and all good will famish

In the flames of hell - while alive you'll burn

As the one you trust makes a wicked U Turn.

You can curse yourself for a simple yes

But some things just can't be undone

Your heart forever will bear the burden

you'll hate yourself for being obliged

to people who mock at your respect

and rape you with their words and then say

NO OFFENSE WAS REALLY MEANT

You will be naked in the cold

bruised and tattered and nowhere to go

Whom are you to blame but yourself

For being enthralled in the devil's lair

For being oblivious to an obvious crime

And you thought you could escape

When the guilty bells would chime

So accept your fate and you can curse out loud

For you'll never see the sun behind these clouds

And questions will forever cloud your mind

And you'll be afraid to look at what you left behind.
