"What will I see?" Meril softly asks her.

Galadriel begins walking up. "Even the wisest cannot tell, for the mirror shows many things."

She pours the water in.

"Things that were, things that are, and some things... that have not yet come to pass."

Meril looks at Galadriel a moment, then moves to stand where the little bowl of water is. She hesitates a moment, then looks inside.

At first, there is nothing. But then it suddenly turns into different images. The image of when she fell off the cliff, when Gandalf found her. When she met Nolya. Then to when Nolya was attacked, she could see the beast she turned into and gasped a moment. As the images continued, she saw as she slayed the Orcs, then picked up Nolya delicately. There were new images now.

It showed her and Elrond having one of their night talks. What they were talking about couldn't be heard, but she could see the way he looked at her. He suddenly grabbed her shoulders and kissed her passionately. She leaned into the kiss and held him close.

"I love you," he said to her.

She started to blush and looked up a moment at Galadriel whom was smiling. Other images started to form after that.

Images of Orcs attacking again, a thousand this time. She saw a serpent this time, and how it slithered behind their lines. Heard the Orcs talking. Asking where Sauriel was.

As she heard the name Sauriel her head started to ache horribly, but she winced and continued to look into the mirror.

She saw the serpent turn into a wolf and kill all the Orcs, and drive their commanders back with threats, the wolf once again covered in blood as the Orcs ran screaming in fear.

Suddenly she saw a dark figure, and gasped, knowing it had to be Sauron. The Dark Lord. And she was.. standing there? By him???

"Sauriel, you are not ready. If you leave, you will lose all your memory. I will not have you in the world of man and elf."

Sauron was speaking in black speech.

"I don't care, I don't want to be a prisoner here forever!"

"My daughter..."

Her blood froze in her veins and her heart stopped. Daughter?!

He grabbed her arm, and she winced.

"Stop hurting me! I'm tired of you always hurting me! Release me!"

"You will LISTEN to me! I will not have my own kin defy me!" Sauron yelled in black speech.

"Why don't you go fall off a cliff and die!"

And with that, the Meril she saw in the mirror hit him and ran out. She gathered her things and ran from her once home. Once she hit Misty Mountain, she could see the Orcs starting to catch up.

"Lady Sauriel! The master demands you come back!" one yelled.

"If you don't, he'll be forced to imprison you again!" another called.

She kept running, and when she turned, she lost her footing and fell from the top of the Mountain. Suddenly she could hear a voice in her head.

"Fall off a cliff and die?" Sauron spoke into her head in black speech and chuckled. "Seems you're going to be the one to do that. You will come back home, if I have to have them drag you bloody and beaten up! Come back!"

She hit the bottom and then everything went black in the mirror.
