Meril screamed and backed away from the mirror, falling to the ground.
Galadriel was shocked.
"Sauron has kin... a daughter?" she walked around the mirror and saw how horrified Meril was.
"That can't be true... can't it?!" Meril asked.
"It is, the mirror has shown the past for you. It seems once you left his domain, when you fell he made you lose your memory. And gave you a false name to use."
"No... I'm not that... things spawn... am I?"
"Sauriel," Galadriel spoke the name.
Once she heard the name again, she yelled and grabbed her head, the memories now flooding back. Back to when she was a child, to how many times they would lock her in a cage and keep her hidden away. Any little defiant thing she did, she was always locked away. Up to when she finally screamed she was leaving. How ironic it was she told him to fall off a cliff and die.
"I... I'm so sorry," Sauriel said. "I didn't know. I wouldn't have let him help me... I need to leave.."
"Sauriel wait," Galadriel said and reached out.
She got up quick and ran. She didn't know where she was running, but she ran up out of there and saw that everyone was standing when they heard her scream.
"Where are you going? Meril?!" Gandalf yelled to her.
As she ran, she ran right into Elrond and he held her by the arms.
"What happened?? What did you see?!" he asked, worried about her.
Tears rolled down her face once again.
"I'm so sorry Elrond, I didn't know. I... I can't be here.." she cried out panicked, thinking they would all hate her and try to kill her.
"What do you mean? Don't leave," Elrond said, a little panicked himself now.
"I have to go!" she yelled as she saw Galadriel come out out from the little stone area.
"Sauriel please! Don't go!" Galadriel called out to her.
She was already gone. She was running through Rivendell.
"Somebody stop her!" Elrond yelled out, his messenger appearing, nodding, and the others now chasing after her.
Galadriel could see how panicked Elrond felt. He was close to her, emotionally tied now.
Elrond turned to Galadriel.
"What did she see?" he asked.
"Sauron has kin. A daughter."
"What!?" Both Gandalf and Saruman said at the same time.
"Her name is Sauriel, and that was her. Mithrandir, he kept her locked in a cage..." her voice was so somber.
Sauriel ran and was close to the outskirts of town. She could hear the elves on her trail, but she was faster than them.
"Sauriel... please, listen..." she heard Galadriel's voice in her head.
"If I stay I put everyone here in danger, I'm sorry for being here... I don't want anyone to get hurt," she thought back to her.
"If you leave you will hurt Elrond..."
She was a little surprised, and wasn't sure what she meant. Then the images from the mirror popped into her head. How he kissed her, how he said he loved her and it echoed a moment.
She decided to stop running, but stood there.
"What if he gets hurt because of who I am? You heard him, he's looking for me. That's why those Orcs were here. Even if you can all forgive me, I'm scared I'm going to endanger you..." Sauriel thought to Galadriel.
"Forgive you? For what? You have done nothing wrong. Just because you are Sauron's kin, doesn't mean you are like him. Just look at what you've done for Rivendell."
Sauriel stood there, surrounded by her elven friends she's come to known. Was Galadriel telling the truth? Just because she was the monsters daughter, could she really be good in comparison?
"If you leave Elrond will be heart broken. He's become very fond of you over the past decade. Please come back and talk with us."
She sighed, and told her she would. She started her trek back with her elven friends, and they had no idea what was going on.
