It was at her third sigh that Robin decided to start an Instagram live.
The couple was at their apartment's garden, sitting on the grass by the tree while enjoying their summer before second year of university starts. And while Isabelle was completely content with reading her book, Robin's attention span would not permit her to sit still for more than thirty minutes. It was a surprise that she even lasted that long.
When the sighing-to-get-her-girlfriend's-attention failed, she went to Instagram and started a live. With the popularity she gained within the campus, it was no surprise that people quickly started to join in much to Robin's delight.
Isabelle heard giggling at her side but promptly ignored it when she saw what the shorter girl was up to.
"Who's the person next to me?" Robin read one of the comments. "Someone who doesn't love me anymore, that's who."
Robin placed her head on the other girl's shoulder, carefully making sure that her phone's camera did not capture Isabelle's face. "Maybe we got lost in translation, maybe I asked for too much. But maybe this thing was a masterpiece 'til you tore it all up."
Isabelle scoffed at her girlfriend's dramatic tendencies but did not remove her eyes from the text in front of her.
"Why don't I read with Isabelle?" Robin focused back on the screen. "It's 'cause her books don't have pictures. It's for nerds."
Robin suddenly sat straight, eyes squinting at Isabelle. "From one to ten, how's the book so far?"
"Seven."
"So you're choosing a seven over a literal 1000/10?"
Isabelle clicked her tongue. "Stop talking to me. Just talk to them."
"You're too gorgeous to ignore. It's a shame you don't think the same about me."
A particularly loud sigh came out of Isabelle, choosing to continue ignoring the girl beside her.
"Tough crowd."
Robin took a sip of her iced tea before going back to answering questions. It was getting too warm for her liking. "How long have Isabelle and I been together?" She gave a sigh of her own. "Too long."
Robin keeps stealing glances at the girl beside her, sporting a faux pout. "Isn't it obvious by how she's taking my beauty for granted now?" She pointed at the camera, supposedly to the people watching her. "The honeymoon phase never lasts, ladies. Even if you're gay."
"Yohan says that if you continue to ignore me she'll steal me from you," the ever bored girl tattled.
"Go ahead."
Robin gasped so loud that it scared the bird that landed on the grass near them. "Excuse me?!"
Stifling a smirk, Isabelle planted a kiss on Robin's head, her attention quickly going back to her book. A simple kiss was always a successful way to shut the other girl up.
But alas the peacefulness only lasted for a couple of minutes before Robin was acting up again. "How many times per week Isabelle and I have sex?" She pretended to think, "Well, if you consider--"
Isabelle did not doubt that her girlfriend was prepared to answer that and so she snatched the offending phone and shut it off. Finally putting down her book, she sighed loudly, staring at Robin unamused.
The latter had the audacity to flash that adorable grin towards her and really, who was she to resist the tugging of the corners of her lip whenever Robin smiled at her like that. It was unfair, truly. "I should take you out for a walk. Let's go."
