Irisse was never a fan of parties, she doesn't know whether it's because of the obnoxious feelings she feels whenever she is in crowded or cramped spaces or maybe its because of the crippling social anxiety she has developed over the years because of being the most insociable person known to mankind. Irisse loves to be indoors having fun by herself talking to her friends on the phone and writing stories in her composition notebook. To most, it may seem tedious but for her, it was her haven.

"Do I need to come with you?" Irisse asked her older sister Sharon

"Relax! It's just a party! And to the point it's summer, so we should have some fun!" Sharon said as she parked the car at the venue where the party is

"I heard Dani is gonna be here, so you don't have to worry about anything, and someone to be with of course" The two sisters walked to the backyard

The sisters walked to the backyard where the party is held in this big house

"Hello, ladies~ Welcome!" A football jock greeted them

Irisse's heartbeat started pumping as she saw her happy crush, a small smile appeared on her face when he winked at her

"Jerry!" Sharon squealed and gave him a big warm hug

Jerry Grayson, the most popular football jock of their high school and Irisse's crush for quite a while. He also admires Sharon, the boy asked help from Irisse just to talk and get close to her sister

That made her heart shatter so much because her crush likes her sister more, while Irisse was on a mission to get the two close, she decided to stay alright and that everything is okay.

"Glad you came Parker Sisters" Jerry welcomed them inside his house filled with plenty of kids from school

"Do you girls want any drinks?" Jerry asked the girls

"Kombucha please?" Sharon smiled and he went in Irisse's direction to ask her

"I'll go get my drink thank you" Irisse smiled politely and walked away from the two so she wouldn't feel awkward

She reached the food table to see fruit juices, alcohol, chips, and other finger foods especially 4th of July-themed desserts. The innocent girl was just so shocked to see alcohol at a teenage party. She grabbed a red cup and filled it with apple juice instead

"Irisse?" She heard a familiar voice from behind calling her name. She turned around seeing her friend Dani

"Dani! Oh my goodness you're here! My sister was right" Irisse cheered

"Duh! I told her that she told me you're gonna come with her! Finally!" Dani hugged her tightly

They suddenly broke the hug not until a male voice called their names

"Is it just me or am I hallucinating? Is Irisse going to a party?! That's a first!" The voice said making the two girls turn their bodies around to see the surprised person

"Stanley, with uttermost respect. Please shut up" Irisse croaked as she drank her apple juice

"Is this still you? This isn't the Irisse Parker I know" Stanley questioned looking at the girl as Dani transferred beside the boy

"Well my sister asked me to tag along with her, so basically this is my first house party of the summer as a teenager" Irisse explained and gave the two a small smile

"We get it, it's kinda clear that Jerry Grayson likes Sharon Parker-" Stanley said but Dani elbowed him for a warning. Irisse huffed inside pretending that did not hurt her.
