Jason couldn't remove that one scene in his head where Leo and Irisse were talking and laughing from across the field. He feels a familiar twist in his stomach. He knows Irisse loves him, but Leo's constant presence in her life has always made him uneasy. He tries to shake it off, but the jealousy is overwhelming.
During a break in practice and while Irisse is away, Leo joins the players for a casual kick-around. He's athletic, and he has natural confidence as he talks about Irisse to his teammates about their friendship and it starts to grate on Jason. He's been bottling up his feelings for weeks, and today, it boils over.
Jason's teammates notice him growing tense, clenching his fists as he watches Jake still yapping about Irisse. One teammate, sensing trouble, tries to distract Jason.
"Chill, man. Jake's harmless." Jerry said
But Jason's mind is racing. He strides toward Jake, his anger building inside but on the outside, he seems calm, He swings his arm around Leo's shoulder making him shooked, and the boy gives him a small smile.
"Walters, I didn't know you were close with my girl" Jason said cockily
"What a small world right?" Leo smiled confidently as walked away from Jason his blood started to boil, he knowa Leo is a total jerk when it comes to games their games if they play on the feild and he feels Leo is not safe around Irisse
During that conversation between Jason and Leo, Irisse walked to the journalism club's room which was not that far from the feild, as she opened the door she was greeted by the club president who was cleaning the room and was waiting for her.
"Just in time! I was about to finish cleaning" Candace looked up as the door opened while she was sweeping the floor
"Anyways the papers you wrote last year are on the table" She informed the girl and nodded then walked towards the table and saw a small pile of school papers bundled all up together, it had her written on the front page as author of the article.
The girl actioned to grab the stack of newspapers and read the article by it's front page. The article was about the football team's victory at finals from last year's game season.
