"Irisse!"

The girl looked up from her phone while walking with her friends, seeing her childhood boy best friend in his football jersey from another school

"LEONARDO?" Vanessa shrieked as she saw the boy and hugged him afterwards and the rest followed

"Dang! San Diego boy really came to LA!" Dani said

"Duh! To the point his school's football team is practicing with ours" Stanley said with sass and Leo chuckled

"Good to see you back brother" Vernon held up his hand and dabbed up Leo and even hugged him

The friend group knew Leo since elementary school because of Irisse. Leo and Irisse were neighbors and grew next to each other, but not until Irisse had to say a painful goodbye to her childhood best friend who is moving to the other side of California. Little did Leo know, he had a slight crush on Irisse since they were kids.

"It's really great to see you guys. Vanessa, is still the bubbly girl who loves to draw and paint. Dani, is still the tough, athletic and the most savage person I've ever met. Stanley, your still very sassy and Vernon, you're still the nonchalant nerd but you literally had a glow up man!" Leo said positive words to the friends group

"Were glad that you came to visit us here in Los Angeles. Irisse really misses you" Vernon smirked at the girl that made Irisse's eyebrow raised glaring at him making the rest hold their chuckle

"Is that so?" Leo wrapped his arm around Irisse forgetting they're in a football field with plenty of athletes. Even her boyfriend is there 

Thankfully, Jason was busy doing his drills and did not see Leo swinging his arm around his girlfriend. But one of the jocks did see them.

The rest of Irisse's friends had shocked expressions and eyes wide open, they were supposed to warn Leo that her boyfriend is at the feild as well playing ball.

"Leo, I'm sorry can you remove your arm around my shoulder?" Irisse asked her friend politely and he nodded his head

"Good thing the boyfriend isn't watching" Vanessa muttered 

After awhile, Dani got in the feild, Vernon sat on the bleachers facing the Girl's soccer team, Stanley carried along with Vanessa to help her with some homework, and that leaves Irisse and Leo at the bleachers.

"Your friends didn't change at all, your bond with them is still the same" Leo watched the rest of them walk off 

"Of course were the geek-athlete friend group all right" Irisse smiled and Leo agreed at her statement. After the two of them stopped chcukling, Leo couldn't help but stare at her bestfriend deeply while she is fixing her hair and watching her boyfriend run laps on the feild.

Leo had secret feelings for Irisse ever since they were kids, at first it used to be a silly crush not until he realized he is in love with his bestfriend.

"Hey, can we talk about something? Something that's been on my mind for a while now." Leo said taking a deep breath, looking a bit nervous

"Of course. What's up?" She turned to face him, sensing the seriousness in his tone

Leo pauses for a moment, struggling to find the right words

"We've been friends for so long, and I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world. But lately, I've been feeling... more than just friendship. But I know I can't..." Leo said out the words in confidence

Irisse's eyes widened as she already knew what Leo is about to say to her and just realized something.

"There is no way, Leo is confessing" Irisse said in her thoughts
