Spider-Punk and the Spider-Verse (on hold till BTSV)

Our First Lead

Over the last couple of days, Y/N and Gwen had not found any leads on what had brought them to this universe they had been enjoying their time chatting and getting to know each other in their dorm. Y/N had even started trying to teach Gwen how to play his guitar, but it was not going well, he was an awful teacher. The two were desperate to find a way home but grateful to not be alone in their struggle.

Y/N walked down one of the Vision Academy hallways on his way to meet up with Gwen before their next class, he found her taking some notebooks out of a locker. 

Y/N: "Hey, so what class do we have now?"

Gwen: "Physics, can you stop using me as a way to keep track of your classes?"

Y/N: "No can do, sorry." 

Y/N leans on the locker next to Gwen while she takes her last notebook out. 

Y/N: "Do you want to get some dinner later? I'm ready to get out of that dorm room for a bit." 

Gwen looks at him stunned before responding.

Gwen: "Are you asking me out?"

Y/N lets out a little chuckle. 

Y/N: "I just asked if you wanted to get something to eat, if you heard something else, maybe that is what you wanted to hear." 

Gwen rolls her eyes at him and shoves playfully. 

Gwen: "Shut up." 

Y/N: "You enjoy my company really." 

Gwen: "As if." 

She starts walking off towards their next class.

Gwen: "Are you coming?"

Y/N: "Yeah yeah." 

He slowly jogs after her before looking at her. 

Y/N: "So was that a 'no' to food later?"

Gwen: "I didn't give you an answer but sure we can go for food."

The two of them sit at their desks in the physics classroom as the teacher shows the class a video. Y/N rests his head on his hands and fights himself not to fall asleep with Gwen kicking his ankle every now and then when it looks like he might drop off. After a few minutes of the video playing, a boy, Miles Morales, walks through the door crouched down trying to avoid the projector's light. 

Teacher: "Mr Morales. Movin' in the dark. You're late again."

Miles: "Einstein said time was relative, right? Maybe I'm not late. Maybe you guys are early." 

The whole class stays dead silent for a couple of seconds before Y/N and Gwen both let out a little laugh. 

Gwen: "Sorry. It was just so quiet."

Y/N: "I'm not apologising, I liked it." 

Teacher: "Would you like to keep standing there, or do you wanna sit down?"

The teacher clicks play on the video and Miles walks over and takes a seat, it was to the left of Gwen, and Y/N sat just to her right.  Gwen leans over to Miles a little. 

Gwen(whispering): "I liked your joke." 

Miles(whispering): "Really?"

Gwen(whispering): "I mean, it wasn't funny. That's why I laughed. But it was smart, so I liked it."
