The first class of the day started, which was the Care of Magical Creatures class. When we went to class, Hagrid instructed us to follow him outside, and so we did. I walked next to Draco and tried to talk to him. "Hey, Draco." He looked at me with a semi disgusted look before putting a grin on his face. "What do you want, mudblood?" My smile turned into an annoyed look before I scoffed at him. "First of all, stop calling me a mudblood as you are no better than me, and secondly, I was just trying to be nice, so there is no need to get your panties in a twist!" I sort of yelled at him, causing him to laugh. "You've got some nerve to talk to me like that!" He said in reply. "Well, somebody should." He looked offended as I gave him a disgusted look back and walked away.

Hagrid finally stopped walking in front of the bird like thing. "Isn't he beautiful?" Hagrid said as he gave the bird a treat. Ron asked what the bird was, and Hagrid started to explain that the bird was called a Hippogriff and how they were very proud creatures. When Hagrid asked who would like to say hello to the Hippogriff, everyone backed away except for Harry and I as we didn't know they did.

"Great, Grace, come on up here." Hagrid said as Harry pushed me forward. "Now you'll have to let him make the first move. It's only polite." I slowly walked up to the Hippogriff and did as Hagrid said. I bowed towards the Hippogriff and waited for him to bow back. He soon did, and Hagrid gave him a treat, which was adorable as the Hippogriff jumped up and enjoyed the food. "You can go pat him now, go on dont be shy." Hagrid said as I slowly walked up to the Hippogriff. The Hippogriff slowly approached me as well and let me pat it. It was very friendly once you weren't terrified that it would kill you.

"I think you would like to ride him now." Hagrid said as I patted the Hippogriff. "What?" I asked as what he said caught me off guard. Hagrid then picked me up and put me on top of the Hippogriff. "Don't pull out any of his feathers because he won't thank you for that!" Hagrid said before he slapped the back of the Hippogriff, causing him to take off.

The Hippogriff ran off the hill and started to fly. I started to scream from the top of my lungs as I was scared of heights, and the Hippogriff didn't feel very sturdy for me to be on. I was scared that I would easily fall off of him. Once I had gotten used to being on the Hippogriff, I calmed down a little bit and admired the scenery around me. It was absolutely beautiful out here and even more amazing when the wind blew in my face, causing my hair to fly back, out of my face. The Hippogriff flew over the water and grazed the surface with his claws. I held out my arms and smiled as I started to really enjoy the ride.

The Hippogriff flew back around to Hagrid and landed safely onto the ground. Hagrid helped me off of the Hippogriff, but when I touched the grass, my legs felt wobbly as I was still shaken up from my fear of heights. "Hermione, take your sister, would you!" Hermione laughed before rushing up to me and helped me gain my mobility again.

While Hagrid was distracted by talking with Harry, Draco walked up to the Hippogriff with a very confident walk. "You're not dangerous at all, are you!?" Draco said as he got all up into the Hippogriffs personal space. The Hippogriff retaliated as he jumped up and hit Dracos arm with his claws, slashing a hole in his robe and making him fall back. "Hagrid! He needs to be taken to the hospital wing!" Hermione said as Draco started whining like a child.

Hagrid dismissed the class before he picked Draco up and started to take him to the hospital wing. "You will regret this! You and your bloody chicken!" Draco said as he still whined. "He's such a baby." I said as Harry laughed. "He really is!"

Everyone else went back inside and headed to the Grand Hall as we had quite a bit of time before our next class. I, on the other hand, walked by the hospital wing to see if Draco was alright. I don't know why I went there or what I was thinking, I just did. I walked inside to see Draco still whining about his arm, which now had a sling on it.

I walked up to his bed and stood beside him. "Is your arm okay?" I asked as I was honestly concerned. "Why do you care, mudblood?" I gave him an annoyed look as I crossed my arms. "I'm just being polite, I'm sorry if I was wondering if you were okay after you got hit by a giant bird." I said with an attitude. "What are you playing at, Granger?" I sat down on the bed next to his and crossed my legs. "I'm not playing at anything, Malfoy!" He chuckled a bit before sitting up and facing me. "Okay, my arm is fine." I stood up and looked down at him. "Good, I'm glad to hear." I said before walking away and to my next class."
