Second Triwizards Task

I went to the library with Hermione, Ron, and Harry as they were talking about the golden egg. Harry and I were still friends after what had happened in the Prefects' bathroom. It was just a little awkward between us, but I tried to brush that off.

I got my favorite romance novel off the shelf and looked to see that Draco had checked this book out. He signed his name on the checkout card that was stored in the book, right after mine. I felt my face heat up as I traced my finger over his signature. "Professor McGonagall has called Grace and Hermione to her office." Professor Moody said, which took my attention away from the book. I then put the book back onto the shelf and left with Hermione.

We went into McGonagalls office and waited for her. "Welcome, girls... I presume you don't know why you have been called in here." Hermione and I both nodded as we assured her that we had no clue. "No ma'am we dont." I said. "You two will be a part of the next Triwizard Task." I looked at her confused and a little worried. "How may we take place in it?" Hermione asked with the same worried look as me. "You two will be petrified and tied to the bottom of the black lake for the Triwizard components to find." I grabbed Hermiones' arm and looked at her scared. "What if they don't get us from under the water?" McGonagall
Frowned and looked down. "You then may be there forever." This is child abuse! This school is crazy. They have no care for our safety at all!

McGonagall struck us with her wand, making us pass out. I didn't remember anything at all. I remembered waking up at the surface of the Black Lake with a crowd of people cheering in front of me. I struggled to swim bit and eventually made it to the dock as I was gasping for air and extremely cold." Hermione helped me up onto the dock and wrapped a towel around me as I was shivering cold.

Harry soon burst out of the water and flew onto the dock in front of us, gasping for air as well. Hermione went up to Harry and kissed his head as he got a towel around him. Dumbledore then announced that Harry had won second place and Cedric first.

After I had taken a shower and gotten into some warmer clothes, I walked to the library and got another one of my favorite romance novels out. I sat down on the floor, next to a fireplace, and started to read it.

"Holy shit, Grace, are you okay!?" I looked up from my book and saw Draco on his knees in front of me. "I'm fine, just a little traumatized." I said with a chuckled as he sat down next to me. "That was cruel to put students into the black lake like that." Draco said as he looked down at the book I was reading
"Another romance novel, eh?" He said with a smile. "Yeah, after the last I read, I wanted to read something new."

Draco got his own book and started to read next to me. I looked over at Draco to see him really concentrated on his book. I kissed his cheek, which caught him off guard and made me laugh. He put the book in front of both our faces before he kissed me. I put my hand on his face and traced his jawline with my thumb as we made out. Draco pulled away from the kiss and grinned. "We better stop before one of us ends up half naked in this library." I looked at him with wide eyes and a red face as the thought of him naked made me nervous yet excited at the same time.

"Hey Draco, the third triwizard task starts tomorrow. Do you maybe want to sit together?" He put his book down and pondered for a minute. "Okay, yeah, we can, but just no flirting with each other." I smiled and agreed. "I won't flirt with you then."

Draco smiled and then continued to read his book. I looked over to the fireplace that wasn't too far away from us and stared at it for a while as I admired the beauty of the fire. "Grace." I looked up and saw Hermione, Harry, and Ron standing over me and Draco. "What are you doing here, Malfoy?" Harry said as he was clueless of mine and Dracos friendship.

Draco stood up and gave Harry his usual disgusted look. "I'm reading, Potter. What does it look like I'm doing?"  He said coldly. "It looks like you're a little too close to Grace." Draco chuckled and looked over at me. "Are you jealous of me spending time with your little girlfriend?" Harry had a very frustrated look on his face as he Draco infuriated him. "Oh, stop it now. We were just reading." I said as I stood up as well.

Draco looked at me and grinned. "And a little more." He said before walking off and hitting Harry's shoulder with his. They all looked at me with confused expressions. "What did he mean by a little more?" Hermione asked. "I don't know. He was probably just trying to irritate you even more. I knew Hermione didn't believe that, but I was not about to tell her that I was making out with Draco in a library.
