Alyna huffed as she looked at Aemond. "Does Aegon really have to send you to Storm's End?" She asked him, as she looked at Vhagar. "He could've sent me, I'm more convincing than you would be." She shrugged. "Gods, is Aegon daft?"

That was something he had been dreading to tell her. He knew that she would not be happy about it, that Aegon had made this choice. It was not something that Aemond wanted, and it would certainly not make her happy.

"My love, it saddens me to tell you that..." He said, with a soft sigh. "I have a task that I must do. Aegon has ordered me to the Stormlands, to Storm's End. He asked me to talk with the Baratheons, to convince them to bend the knee without bloodshed."

"Without bloodshed?" She scoffed. Aegon must've been controlled by Alicent, and Otto. She wasn't as daft as her husband, she hears the whispers and gossips in court and in the royal castle. The Red Keep is full of rats and sadly, the Hightowers were one. "Please," She rolled her eyes. "With you in Storm's End, I am sure there will be bloodshed." She teased.

Aemond chuckled at her teasing, but a slight sense of sadness was evident in it. "You may laugh, but there is truth in your words. I hope that I am able to convince Storm's End to join us without bloodshed..."

But he knew his chances of succeeding in that objective were slim. Still, if he could manage it, he would do everything in his power to prevent a war. They needed every man they could have to face the coming enemy. "I promise, I will do everything in my power to ensure that there is no bloodshed."
