Alyna sat down next to her brothers, Jacaerys and Lucerys, while their mother told them the story of how Aegon the Conqueror conquered Westeros. "Aegon the Conqueror was the first Targaryen king of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. He and his sisters, Visenya and Rhaenys, flew to Westeros on the backs of dragons and began a campaign to conquer the continent."

Alyna was genuinely interested in history. Her two brothers, Jace and Luke, were not. They were distinct hearts and souls. Jace and Luke had brown hair and brown eyes, but Aly had silver-blonde locks and mauve eyes like her parents. "Mother, keep on going!" Aly was looking forward to hearing more from her mother, Rhaenyra Targaryen.

"Aegon and his sisters began their Conquest by defeating the army of King Harren Hoare, the ruler of the Iron Islands. They then turned their attention to the mainland, where they defeated the armies of the various kings who ruled the regions of Westeros. After several years of fighting, Aegon emerged victorious and had united the Seven Kingdoms under his rule." Rhaenyra continued, she was waiting for her children's reaction.

Alyna was keen, meanwhile Jace was bored and Luke tiresome. "After defeating Argilac, Aegon and his sisters turned their attention to the other kingdoms of Westeros. They fought and defeated the armies of the Reach, the Riverlands, and the Vale, and eventually conquered all of the Seven Kingdoms, all except for Dorne." Her voice, quiet yet powerful at the same time, was what made Aly more keen.

"Aegon's reign was marked by his consolidation of power and his efforts to unify the Seven Kingdoms under his rule. He created the system of feudalism that would come to define the political structure of the Seven Kingdoms and established the Targaryen dynasty as the ruling family of Westeros." Rhaenyra stated, making Jace wide eyed. He had suddenly become interested in history, making Rhaenyra chuckle. "Aegon's conquest of Westeros was not without opposition, however. Many lords and knights resisted his rule, and several rebellions were put down during his reign. Despite this, Aegon's military might and the power of his dragons proved to be overwhelming, and he was ultimately able to bring the Seven Kingdoms under his control."

"Why would they resist his rule?! He's unifying them, trying to make Westeros a better place to live!" Alyna scoffed. Jace seemed to agree with Aly, although he had no clue on what his sister was talking about. Luke, however, did not care. He was not one to care about history, especially in Westeros. He is content with what he has now, not back then.

Rhaenyra chuckled. "I have no clue, my sweet Jace. History has been written by Maesters, and even they have no clue." Making Jace laugh. "It is true, Jace! They couldn't write about the origins of Valyria!" Aly exclaimed.

"Because my dear, they did not mind writing. Much older writings about Valyria have either been disposed of, or simply abandoned. Like everyone else, the people have slowly forgotten their origins. The Rhoynar, the Andals, and the First Men. Everyone has different origins. Like us, we have been descended from Valyrians, from the Valyria Freehold."

"Although we are from the same cloth, we all bleed differently." Alyna concluded, making Rhaenyra smile. Alyna loved the history, her Septa even told Rhaenyra that Alyna was a wise child, though a female she was wise for her age. Alyna reminded Rhaenyra of Alicent in their youth; Alicent was already very studious, with a particular passion for history.

Luke was already sleepy, and had practically already slept. Jace and Aly laughed, while Rhaenyra disapproved of them laughing at Luke. "Do not laugh at your brother, Jace and Aly." Rhaenyra scoffed. "That is impolite, and rude."

"I'm sorry Mother." The two quickly apologized. "It's time for bed. Aly, say good night to Jace, Jace say good night to Aly."

Both said their goodnights and parted. Alyna was escorted to her bedchambers by her mother, while Jace remained put in the boys' sleeping room. "Mother, I want a dragon of my own," She admitted to her mother. "I want a dragon like you and Father. I want to name it Moonfyre,"

"I was a dragonrider when I was seven years old. You are not yet in the right age for that, you will be bonded with a dragon one day Alyna." Rhaenyra encouraged her daughter. The two then opened the door to Alyna's bedchambers.

Alyna walked to her bed, and got on it. "Mother.. What if I am to remain dragonless?"Alyna inquired, but Rhaenyra didn't say a word. Instead, she tucked Alyna in and kissed her goodnight. "Alyna, you will have a dragon. I just know that you will have one." Rhaenyra expressed.

"Goodnight, Mother." said Alyna, about to sleep. Rhaenyra kissed her daughter on the forehead, and smiled. "Goodnight, Alyna."
