Danny spent the remaining time in the basement, tied up and giggling like a madman while the others looked on with discomfort. They had practically begged Leon to take Danny with him because his giddy squirming was worse than anything else in that building to them. But Leon refused adamantly, insisting that Danny would be safest here with them, and that he had to tie him up to keep him from escaping again.
The next time the doors opened, it was the rescue team coming to bring them back outside. They didn't react at all to Danny being restrained to a shelving unit, besides perhaps being extra careful to search him for injuries. Danny couldn't understand why they kept talking about bite marks, but he figured he could ask Leon about that later.
Danny was brought through a series of temporary buildings that had apparently popped up in the time since the office got locked down. He was interrogated thoroughly before finally getting thrown in a room with some dinner and told to wait until someone came for him. He shrugged off the rough treatment as normal government grunts who cared more about getting things done than the fact that they were dealing with actual people, and settled down to eat.
After the first hour, he got bored. But when another two passed, he just stopped caring altogether and arranged himself to lay across a few chairs for a nap. He was exhausted, and didn't see a point in staying up when nobody wanted to give him details.
Danny was dozing lightly when someone finally entered the room and peered down at him with disapproval. Danny blinked up at the newcomer and waved a bit, sitting up slowly. "Ugh... what time is it?" He asked, rubbing his eyes and stretching.
"Is this the one Agent Kennedy was talking about?" The man asked a woman hovering in the doorway. She nodded, and the man returned his gaze to Danny. "I heard you handled yourself pretty well back there."
Danny raised an eyebrow, already disliking this guy. He hadn't asked a question, and even if he had, Danny's still remained unanswered, so he didn't feel the need to respond. He just crossed his arms and stared at him, waiting for him to get to the point.
"How would you feel about learning more about creatures like that? We could teach you how to handle yourself better in combat, and pay you more than you're making right now." He said simply.
"I'm not agreeing to anything so vague. You're going to have to give me more details than that." Danny leaned forward to rest his elbows on the table, his forearms still crossed over each other.
💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Danny sat perched on the corner of Leon's bed when he finally got home. Leon froze with his jacket hanging off one shoulder and stared at him, but Danny just stared right back with a smug half- smirk, waiting.
Eventually Leon relaxed a bit and continued removing his jacket. Danny licked his lips when he wasn't looking. "I fucking knew you could get in here without tripping the alarm," Leon said at last.
Danny didn't react. He just kept staring at Leon, his eyes boring into him like a hawk. His heart thrummed a rapid, but even, beat against his ribs as he continued to wait. And watch. Like always.
Leon gave him a wary side eye, approaching slowly. "What...?" He asked, caution now in his voice where once he was nonchalant, if a little peeved.
Danny just drew his lips back into a smile and waited for Leon to continue forward one more step... then he launched at him. He pressed one hand into his hip and used the other to grab a fistful of hair at the back of his head, pulling and pushing him hard into the nearest wall and sinking his teeth into his neck. He groped his hand hungrily up Leon's chest and ripped his shirt farther open to allow himself access to his perfectly sculpted collarbone, only to claim it as his own with another violent bite.
