I wasn't alright, the stress from the non-stop researching and the pointless power naps weren't doing anything, the most they did was leave me more tired. after a while most of the other teachers and associates had moved on to their required tasks. I was the only one who had a schedule that was open enough for this. I groaned; my cheek warm against the cold library table. students were passing by, going on about their school days. must be lucky to only worry about school. well, I couldn't say much though, I was in their shoes once, so I could understand why some would be stressed, but they also didn't have to worry about the things I did at their age. "Any luck" a gruff voice asked, Mr. Halls stood beside me. placing a tray down with some coffee and a sandwich. "You know, you're the only person here who seems to care about my wellbeing". I picked up the coffee gratefully, he laughed at my comment but in this moment, I had meant it. "Well, I'm sure nobody wants to see you crash out again". he said, picking up one of the books I had finished already. "Do we know what it is yet"? I struggled to say no, my mouth full of the food he gave me. I swallowed it with the coffee. "We have one lead, but its unstable". I said, he nodded slowly to my words, "and what's that if you don't mind me asking". I just sighed and pulled up a disc, placing it in the school's laptop. "Well, these are old files from an experiment that was forgotten 8 years ago, but most of it is wiped out". I explained, "it came from a case found in one of the buildings that a victim was found in, and it's connected to the same case headmaster was going to send to blue's territory". his faced hardened, "why did blue want the case"? he asked, I only shook my head. "Me and headmaster are just as clueless, but we are speculating it had to do with the forgotten experiment, because my husband was apart of it. yet nobody was allowed to know outside of purple's territory".

we sat there quiet, both unsure about the files. "If nobody is supposed to know then why is blue getting involved"?

"Well, most of them think that the massacre from the mission a few weeks ago was the  first appearance, but in Maryland. There was another massacre in blue's territory". he let out an 'oh'. "Yeah, Headmaster wants me to investigate more, but until we have a solid lead, I can't lead it on further or purple is going to get suspicious".

"Wait, if you find a solid lead, you're going to need a team, but the headmaster hasn't told me to prepare one". he catches on fast, i just chugged more of my coffee, angry to tell him what boss said to do. "Yeah, because he doesn't want a professional team", Hans looked at me more confused, "is he wanting to gather teachers"? i shook my head, "nope"

     "Then who"?

     "students"?

I stood in front of the old man's office door, he called me down here and I know why, but for some reason it felt like I was just going to be annoyed by the end of this conversation. I pushed through the feeling and walked in. "what did you call me here for old guy"? I asked, placing my hands into my pant pockets. but then I noticed that it wasn't just me or him in here, bright blue hair, buff biceps, nerdy glasses, and a hooded guy were in front of his desk. shit. I went to turn back around, ready to leave. "Stop right there Elijah". fuck.

"Turn back around and stand with your classmates", he ordered. I did as he asked, but showing visible signs of annoyance. he wasn't going to have the pleasure of demanding me to do things without a little defiance. I looked at the others beside me, only Adira looking back at me happy and bubbly. "So, I'm sure your curious as to why I gathered your class here in my office", he coughed, I groaned. I guess we had a lot of reasons to be curious this school year, which I wasn't happy about at all. "To put it short, I'm giving you guys a chance to get hands on experience". I wasn't shocked at his words since I had overheard his meetings with the other teachers, but the rest of them looked confused. "What do you mean by 'hands on experience', the nerd asked, lifting his glasses up. "I'm glad you asked Henry; you guys are going on a mission". the gasps filled the roomed, making me want to plus my ears, "a mission? a real mission"! Adira was jumping up and down, even grabbing my arm to steady herself. "Yes, but it's not going to be a fun one".
