Ch. 3 Embracing the Unknown

                                                 " I want to go wine tasting."

As the early morning sunlight streamed through the curtains, Letty slowly stirred awake, a content smile gracing her lips. She stretched her arms and legs, feeling the warmth of her white sheets enveloping her. Duke, her faithful Doberman, curled up at the foot of the bed, wagging his tail as he sensed her awakening.

Letty slipped out of bed, the soft fabric of Joe's gray Bengals hoodie with hints of orange and white accents in it, grazing against her skin. She padded into the kitchen, her bare feet sinking into the plush carpet. The scent of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, accompanied by the aroma of sizzling bacon and eggs. Letty busied herself in the kitchen, preparing a delicious breakfast for her and Joe.

Just as she finished setting the table, Joe descended the stairs, his eyes still heavy with sleep. He wrapped his arms around Letty from behind, pressing a gentle kiss on her cheek.

"Good morning, beautiful," Joe whispered, his voice filled with warmth and affection.

Letty turned around, a radiant smile lighting up her face. She pointed to the breakfast spread before them, her eyes sparkling with delight.

"You gotta eat before camp, so I made you breakfast."

Joe's eyes widened in appreciation as he took in the spread. He pulled out a chair for Letty, gesturing for her to sit.

"You really outdid yourself, pretty," Joe said, his voice filled with gratitude. "This looks amazing."

Letty took his health very seriously probably because of her nursing background, she couldn't deny she was the same way with herself. It was her way of showing her love and appreciation for her. When it came to Joe her love language definitely was acts of service.

As they savored their breakfast,  Letty filled Joe in on her plans for the day. She mentioned her Pilates session later in the morning and her desire to go plant shopping in the afternoon along with some possible food shopping. With a day off before returning to work the following day, she wanted to make the most of her free time.

After finishing their meal, Letty cleaned up the kitchen, humming a soft tune as she moved about. With her energy renewed, she tackled the household chores with determination, ensuring everything was spotless and organized. The sound of Joe's laughter echoed through the house as he joined her in tidying up, turning the mundane tasks into moments of shared joy.

Once the house was gleaming, Letty slipped into black Lululemon yoga flare tights with a matching black long-sleeve shirt, that highlighted her perky chest, ready for her Pilates session. "There's a protein shake I made for you, It's the cookies and creams one." Letty pointed to the fridge before she left.

"Ok I love you, beautiful" Joe blew her one last kiss before she closed their front door.

She bid Joe farewell and headed to the studio, where she spent the next hour engaging in invigorating exercises that strengthened her body and calmed her mind.

Afterward, Letty indulged in her love for plants, visiting a local nursery to add a touch of greenery to their home. She carefully selected vibrant flowers and lush green foliage, envisioning how they would breathe life into their living spaces.

By late afternoon, Letty returned home, her arms filled with the beauty of nature. She spent the rest of the afternoon arranging the plants, finding the perfect spots to showcase their splendor. The tranquil atmosphere of their home filled her with a sense of fulfillment.
