It was a week after Miles' Father died. "Dad...." Miles whispered, looking down and lying in his bed as a portal opened.

"Miles...." Gwen said, jumping on the floor to avoid hurting Miles as the portal closed.

"You haven't been answering, and I got worried." Gwen said as Miles looked at her.

"You're not in your suit..." Miles said.

"I came to check on you. Miles, maybe get you out of the house. How's your mom?" Gwen asked.

"She's okay....but she's planning the funeral." Miles said.

"Let's get you outside. Fresh air is good for you." Gwen said.

"I don't feel like going out....." Miles said.

"Miles, I've been through this before. Trust me, getting outside is exactly what you need. How long have you been inside for?" Gwen asked.

"I only go out when Spider-Man is needed." Miles said.

"We can go on the rooftop. I want to make sure you're getting out of your house okay." Gwen said.

"Just the rooftop Gwen?" Miles asked.

"Just the rooftop Miles," Gwen said as Miles got up. He was wearing his father's jacket.

"Miles, how long have you had that on?" Gwen asked, worried about Miles.

"Let's go up," Miles said, jumping out the window and going to the roof, sitting down.

"Miles...." Gwen said, looking down as she followed and sat next to Miles.

Gwen hugged Miles. "Gwen...." Miles said.

"It's okay to cry, Miles. I'm here." Gwen said as he hugged her, and the tears started flowing.

"I stay strong for my mom, but I miss him....." Miles said through the lump in his throat as he buried his head in Gwen's shoulder.

"It's okay. We can stay like this as long as you want, Miles." Gwen said.

"Your graffiti mural looks amazing." Gwen added.

"I did that the night it happened, just letting my feelings take over at that moment." Miles, as his voice cracked.

"I'll ask my dad if I can stay over here for a while, and I'll help out." Gwen said.

"This life is hard...." Miles whispered.

"Yeah, but we have each other to talk to about it." Gwen said.

"I'm glad you came. I might not have shown it, but this does mean a lot." Miles said.

"Miles, I really am sorry for lying to you. I can't help but think I broke your heart, the one thing your mom was afraid of....." Gwen said.

Miles looked at Gwen. "I was mad, but you didn't break my heart. I know you, and you could never do that." Miles said as he wiped his tears.

"But I lied to you, and you said I should never have come to see you...." Gwen said.

"You had a conflict between your heart and your duty. I can't blame you for that, but I know I take up most of your heart." Miles said.

"You're feeling like yourself again. Have you eaten today?" Gwen asked.

"No, I haven't been eating a lot. I've only been eating snacks, but I wasn't planning on eating today...." Miles said.

"New York has everything. What do you want?" Gwen asked.

"How about a hotdog? Do you have your suit?" Miles asked.

"I don't, but I can get it. Like I said, I came to check on you." Gwen said.

"Then we'll just walk no need for your suit." Miles said as they took the stairs down and walked out of the alleyway.

"Did you text your mom to tell her we're going out?" Gwen asked.

"Yeah, I texted her. She asked me to get some stuff for the funeral....."Miles said, looking down.

"Then we'll eat, then get it. I know it's hard, but grieving and saying goodbye is the first and hardest step in the healing process." Gwen said.

"It's hard, but I have to go through it. Just like I had to get through Uncle Aaron's death." Miles said.

"You know I think you are amazing right?" Gwen said.

"You said it on the bridge." Miles said.

"Not Spiderman you. This Miles, he's amazing." Gwen said as she smiled.

"Thank you, Gwen," Miles said with a faint smile.

"I got you to smile. You haven't smiled since I got here." Gwen said as they got their hotdogs and ate as they walked.

"My mom hasn't come out of her room since it happened. She only comes out to eat." Miles said.

"We should get something for her after we get the stuff she asked for." Gwen said.

"How do you know so much?" Miles asked.

"Because Miles, when my mom passed away, my dad took time off work, and he wouldn't eat all he did was stay in his room, and I got him his food because I refused to lose someone else I cared about." Gwen said.

"Even though my mom is grieving, she's still praying for me." Miles said.

"She's worried about you, and she's not the only one. Everyone is." Gwen said.

"Including you?" Miles asked.

"You didn't answer my texts to let me know your okay." Gwen said.

Once they arrived at their destination. "This is what she wanted you to do?" Gwen asked.

"Yeah, but it's a good thing that she's my Grandmother. That's the real reason I'm here." Miles said.

"To get some sense knocked in you to eat daily." Gwen said as they walked into the Church.

"Miles! How are you? You're mother said you weren't eating!" Gloria said.

"I'm fine, Abuela. And I just ate." Miles said.

"I'm talking about overall since it happened....." Gloria said.

"No, I only ate because Gwanda forced me to after getting worried." Miles said.

"Hello, Gwanda. Thank you for getting Miles to eat." Gloria said.

"I was worried about him, especially since he wasn't answering my phone calls." Gwen said as Gwen's watch beeped.

"Oh no. I'm going to go back home and get my stuff." Gwen said.

"What happened?" Miles asked, "I'll be in my office." Gloria said, going to her office.

"Hobie found Spot....." Gwen said.

"Good, I can end his life for what he did....." Miles said.

"You're still grieving, and your not in the right mindset to take him on. I'm not doing this for him; I'm doing this for you. Please listen to me. I wasn't even going I was going home to get my stuff, then coming right back." Gwen said.

"I know you are...." Miles said, hugging Gwen.

"Take the time to talk to your grandmother, okay," Gwen said as she opened the portal and headed to her dimension to get some clothes as the portal closed.
